Do any MLS teams play on artificial turf? I don't follow it that closely....

And the great thing about tall residential buildings--the lights in the windows are on at night! Most of our buildings go dark at night (except for the government ones who seem to keep them going 24/7).- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Start with Steve Loomis. He has the rank-and-file dragging their feet on calls to increase pressure for more officers (and be a pain in the ass to the city under a consent decree).- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center
Highly unlikely with one new(ish) building in Kansas City and one brand new state-of-the-art in Quebec (which would fit the NHL's geographical likings). I think the old Nassau Coliseum is being renovated as well and will certainly make a play to get the team back.- Cincinnati: Downtown: Heritage Bank Center
They probably have a bad deal with the team cutting them in to food & beverage or similar. Plus, the suite revenue on NHL nights is definitely shared.- Taxes
A quiet thread, but I found this article worthy of reviving it. 2016 vs 2011 comparison is included. New CEO Shakes Up Railroad, Starting With Ramps CSX’s Hunter Harrison acts quickly on pledge to boost efficiency. First move: rethinking how train cars get sorted Barely a month into his job leading CSX Corp. CSX -1.27% , Hunter Harrison is already executing some signature moves from his railroad-turnaround playbook. First among them: doing away with hump yards, longtime fixtures of rail operators where long trains are broken down into individual cars by pushing them over a hill, then letting gravity send them down different tracks. From there, they are reassembled and sent to their next destination. https://www.wsj.com/articles/railroad-chief-ramps-up-by-closing-ramps-1492531098- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
CPD's been known to advise developments in the city not to hide the parking, especially if they will be open after dark. Making the city less walkable leads to more criminals and more crime. This is the sort of corrupt stupidity we need to wipe out. We need to design for the people we have, not hypothetical ones. We're also short on police. If the parking is visible from the street, the passing cruiser can keep a better eye on it. And police can't be there 24/7, but residents can. Maybe Dave's would be willing in a public/private situation to put a couple floors of residential on top. Would be a great situation for senoirs: transport access and above a grocery.- Off Topic
Not very weird at all. This is common throughout the Middle East, to keep a small minority in control of most of the wealth. It worked mostly until the 20th century when the Western powers got involved.- Pet Peeves!
If you actually call ADT they will never stop calling you, unless you scream, yell and threaten to sue them. I made the mistake once and regretted it. Ended up going with a local Cleveland company instead--first Gilmour and now Sievers. Much better service and no sales calls!- Airline Industry News and Discussion
And better yet, the airlines give these vouchers out, but many people never use them or forget about them. Plus, they are usually subject to blackout dates and restrictions. In the end, it would have cost United WAY LESS to offer up bigger vouchers, especially now that they are compensating the entire flight (on top of lawsuits and bad PR).- Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
For this reason I'm sure they would like to stay in the same general vicinity that they've been for all these years. Those W6th/Superior surface lots would do the trick if they weren't willing to pony up for Public Square frontage.- Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
I remember Liberty Boulevard from when I was a very small child.- Cleveland: Edgewater Park
I wonder if this is a nationally televised event? This could be a really good look for the city. August 2018, that's plenty of time to make sure the place is in top shape. There sure was a lot of garbage on the beach last week. It's a constant issue, I'm afraid. Anyhow I miss seeing the city and the lake on tv for the Cleveland Grand Prix. I feel like the Metroparks step it up once we are "in season." And they are LIGHT YEARS ahead of the State of Ohio's maintenance.- Airline Industry News and Discussion
It is valid, given the doctor's response in the video (I still think United made a grave mistake on this one however).- Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
The codes also say that housing must be maintained. As a former LI resident, I can attest that not much of that was going on...- Airline Industry News and Discussion
Absolutely. And it needs to happen before the flight is completely boarded. Bump them in the gate area and let them act out, but at least they aren't holding their ground on board.- Airline Industry News and Discussion
I don't believe it should be a flat rate. It's United's problem and they need to pay for it even if it makes the flight unprofitable. Delta recently paid a family siting in Economy $11k to get one of their crews repositioned. You don't say $400 max or we call security. You up the price until you get 4 volunteers. If UA eats $10k to get there, so be it. So apparently there's a federal rule that says if the airlines involuntarily bump someone, they have to pay them four times the ticket price (in cash, not vouchers), up to a total of $1,350. With that being the case, I'm not sure why United didn't keep upping the offer to $1350 hoping someone would volunteer, considering that they'd have to pay them that much anyway. My guess is United wouldn't have paid the $1350, instead the pax "compensation" would be a seat on the next flight. BTW--as an aside, read the fine print on airline tickets and note the difference between USA passenger rights, and those from the rest of the world. Once again our own citizens are allowed to be screwed, while passengers from the EU, etc are well-protected.- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
If they build that, I won't complain! Would be a great spot for a residential tower.- Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
And if the city inspectors actually worked an 8 hour day and went out and enforced the codes, these people would have WAY less bargaining power.- Airline Industry News and Discussion
I'd like to think of this as more kharma for pulling out of CLE.... They do drive me nuts with they way they treat their non-rev passengers. I have been bumped from an upgrade to seat a commuting crew member. Doesn't make sense.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
