  1. I've never understood how we can have Diebold based right up the road, and we couldn't get them to come up with a slick, digital, ATM-looking fare POP machine. It's not rocket science. Put money in. X number of choices. Card comes out.
  2. I have a feeling it something to do with money. You can probably follow it from lobbyist to politician to "consultant." The entire process is likely formed through funding that only allows for "research" for a new system, rather than just buying one off the shelf.

    And the verdict?
  4. Based on the slow volume of the Cuyahoga, I'd worry the "moat" would end up a foul, stinking mess before long. The HOA would have to include monthly cleanups of logs, soda bottles and "beach whistles."

So much for Curry being damaged. Dude is amazing and was again last night in OT. Long way to go before we can schedule a parade. Definitely a long way. But yet, we are healthy so far and they are not. They showed weakness and frustration at times (see Draymond "T") Hopefully the Blazers can take another and keep the series going, and Currys minutes along with it.
  6. Dense population. Other transit connections. Heavily traveled bus route and commuter car route. All the makings of a great transit line. Which means RTA and our backwards state won't touch it.
  7. There should absolutely be a fight for the Harbor. It would be an amazing addition to a new building constructed around it!

And Golden State goes down again. Great to see them not breezing through. Hopefully they will need to rely on Curry to keep him from resting.
  9. Not good to hear. I was just hit up by a group looking for something upscale in Cleveland and they asked about this new property. If there is loud music bothering guests, that's not a good sign.
  10. Yet the Van Swerigens designed an apartment into it. It had a home from it's birth. Now THAT's the unit I want

    WOW!
  12. Clevelands wide streets are often attributed to it's heavy use of streetcars in the late 19th/early 20th century, long before autos ruled the roads.
  13. Without the coolest name in football. Barkevious!
  14. I love public art and appreciate it's value, but do not think this fits on Public Square. This is the civic center and heart of our city. I personally don't feel this art, or the square renovation itself, speaks to this. Maybe they are trying to convince suburbanites to move in (which I am all for). But there are better ways to go about that.
  15. Oh c'mon people. Get a sense of humor. But you have to admit, it's not far off from this....
  16. Unfortunately, the 1910 version of Cleveland is not the 2016 version. The only difference is population and jobs. I'd rather work on those problems than trying to make a suburban park in the middle of the city.
  17. Meh. Would love to see a neighborhood hang spot. Something akin to BW3 or Paninis. I'd also love to see 4 stories on top of the Lucky's, but that's for another city somewhere....
  18. This art just made me hate this project even more. I want to see Public Square of 1910. A bustling hub for transit and commerce in the middle of our city. Not a "Playplace" next to the food court in the mall. Blahhhhh!
  19. Their back-office stuff. I knew they had back-office operations outside of their HQ tower, but I thought it had all moved out to Brooklyn. They've had back-office operations in several buildings around/near Public Square for 20+ years. Yes they used to have a check-clearance center in the old May Company building....

Did he end up finishing? In Cleveland with CPD response time, he could of....another point for not living in the burbs!
  21. A Streetcar up Detroit would be rad. NS line would end up with how many at-grade crossings (I'm sure KJP can spit out this count in a second here... :-D). Ungainly, but certainly the space is there next to the main track to do so?

If only Keith Richards (or any single Rolling Stone) could come out of his drug-riddled haze, play all the instruments on the album (including virtuoso and heavily influential guitar), engineer it himself, mix his own live sound, produce his own movie, start his own label, write and produce DOZENS of hits for other artists, and change the traditional way albums and concert tickets were sold. No offense to Keith or the Stones (I love them all), but have you ever listened to one of his isolated guitar tracks? There was brilliance happening all around them. Prince chose to do it mostly by himself. I'm sure everyone's seen this, but I find it a striking example of what an amazing player the guy was, soloing on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (skip ahead to 3:28):

And like that, Steph Curry sprains and ankle and they lose. The Warriors could be as vulnerable as ever, as Hts alluded to upthread, they chased that record and wore themselves out. As much as I don't want any player to be injured, for ONCE I would like it to be another team rather than Cleveland. Last year we lost Love and Kyrie and took them to 6 games. Imagine a full strength Cavs and a limping Golden State....
  24. Does anyone think the Browns may pick up Cardale in a later round, just to give it a shot? Another hometown boy made good?
