Height shouldn't matter now as the stadium is not in the flight path of the runways.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
If ever there were a year for the Browns to finally make it to the big show....

And people in Cleveland think that 450 acres of Burke Lakefront is going to magically sprout highrises, retail and restaurants....

Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
The Islanders never played in Brooklyn except for a short time when the owner was playing chicken on the new building. They played at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island (hence the name)

I live up the road from you Ken and I've noticed the same. LOTS of Bills fans in the area LOL

All the cops are paid by the Browns on game day. It would likely end up being county Sheriff deputies, or even other city PD's working on the side.

Cleveland: Retail News
Hopefully the next step is to sell all their grocery stores to Meijer or, better yet, Wegmans! Giant Eagle agrees to sell all GetGo locations: What does that mean for the myPerks program? https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/ohio/giant-eagle-sells-get-go-locations-couche-tard-company/95-3216fe0f-6405-4bca-93d3-9a57360b724f

Affordable housing for seniors would be a great adaptive reuse...and the former Juvi already near by a hospital and housing projects.

Which is why I feel even more strongly about a lakefront location. The public investment tied to a stadium rennovation is our best chance to get the shoreway fixed, bridges to the lakefront, and more public access. If we turn this away, it's not like the State of Ohio will say "sure Cleveland, we will still give you the money to do these things." That money would immediately end up building a new bypass around Portsmouth or freeway interchanges in Medina and Avon... The old saying is "money begets money." And in this case, it's very true.

It's a shame the juvenile court building can't get this same treatment?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I would agree on upscale, but still affordable. Thinking about this project I'd like to see a concept like Hotel Covington across the river from Cincinnati. https://hotelcovington.com

There is still plenty of speeding being done on the Cleveland side of 117th, ewen with the medians. Especially west bound were people leave the Shoreway at 60 MPH and barely slow down.

Maybe Mr Litt would consider hanging out here on UO now that he can be biased?

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Permits would be great. The problem is Cleveland has minimal staff for enforcement. The other thing Cleveland should do is enforce parking bans on opposite sides of the street, depending on the day of the week. This serves two functions--it allows the city to actually clean streets (a rarity in Cleveland) and it also forces people to move their cars. I have several near me that haven't moved in months and I'm not even sure they run.

That's amazing. Just give her a seat in the front row and put a microphone in front of her! My times have changed...

Chicago has several. Executive is the main reliever, i believe.

+10,000 seats. It wouldn't be able to survive in the same market as Blossom. The orchestra has deep pockets and could afford to discount the new place out of business.

That's just city zoning though, not the FAA. Anyone with a few bucks to put in a councilpersons pocket can get zoning changed....

It's been tried in other markets. The extra costs involved in scaling down the venue make it not-competitive for promoters to book there. You have to factor in all the extra rigging, high steel, bucket trucks, soft goods etc. None of that has to be done to produce a show at an arena.

The stadium would not take any concerts away from RoMoFoHo. Apples to oranges.
