Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Agreed that Detroit is not a good comparison. It is set quite a bit apart and dwarfs the closest building. At least Cleveland will have 4 of similar height arranged in a reasonably close proximity.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
^^^c'mon KJP! Haven't you gotten all that freight traffic rerouted yet? I would put that high on the list for our elected leaders to help continue development in Detroit Shoreway and the Flats.

Well there ya go. Maybe he will come out as a top 10 pick in a couple years, and the Browns will be lucky enough to snag him and bring him home, in some sort of second-coming of Lebron. By then Johnny D-bag should be ready to give up the starting job?

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
This is what cops have to deal with every day on the streets. And now it's even more pronounced, with every kid out there trying to get an "event" captured on video, either for monetary gain or street cred.

If he was your kid, what advice would you give him? I'm inclined to tell the kid from Glenville to strike while the iron is hot and your agent has leverage. Make the NFL money and go back to school when done. Would hate to see him get injured.

Ahhh, the old Swingo's: Led Zeppelin, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Yul Brenner.... soooo many other rock icons - they all stayed and partied there. "The world's most rock'n'roll hotels" "Rock 'n' Roll Hotels for a New Generation" There's supposed to be a documentary in the works about that place: "River Valley Films producing documentary on Cleveland's famed Swingos hotel" Yeah... my vote is to leave it right where it is at (with some fixing up, of course) Would be a great tourist attraction to actually rebrand it Swingos again. I wonder if the Rock Hall of Fame can get corporate money behind a hotel famous for decadence?

Thanks that makes sense! Must be the small individual GOP donors. I didn't see any Gulfsteams! ;)

Must be something going on in town today. I counted no less than 15 small bizjets of all makes/models outside the Landmark FBO. Anyone have a scoop?

Cleveland: Retail News
Crocker is much more appealing on a number of levels. CP has more acreage than LV, correct? I've never been a huge fan of Legacy Village, but for the sake of Lyndhurst, I sure hope its owners figure some things out to revitalize it a bit. It definitely has potential. I would think the mixed use residential would be an even bigger hit in that Legacy Villiage area, where there is already some higher density living surrounding Beachwood Place. They should take a play from the Crocker book and blow out some of the surface parking for parking ramps and residential elements.

Downtown Cleveland Parking Lots
Insanity! Where will people park? Lol. Meanwhile, they are also returning cars to Main St to share the route with the light rail system in the above ground section. Many businesses in the area cited the rail-only policy as a reason Main St failed. I'm sure there are other factors as well, but when a large portion of your clientele is from the suburbs, they probably had a point.

Lakewood: Development and News
This looks really cool. Have always hated the chain link fence along the top of the ridge there. I'm not understanding the water runoff issue though?? If they put terraced stairs in and the water runs off into the lake, where's the harm?

I like that bridged section--would be cool to have something modern downtown.

We send the information ahead of time and they run the passport info prior to arrival. Once on the ground they just make sure the number matches up to the photo and its owner.

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
Coaches, trainers, support staff, probably some media, maybe front office and family considering it's the Cavaliers, you're probably up to 40 people or so which should be around the capacity of the custom versions. Just did some research on it. It has workout facilities, player lockers, trainer facilities, meeting rooms, etc. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill business jet! "Cuban, who purchased the Mavericks in 2000 from Ross Perot Jr., uses his own Boeing 757 to fly the team to various NBA cities. The plane includes a weight room, oversized seats and a facility for trainers to provide medical treatment. Each player's locker includes a personal entertainment system." Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
I fly private from time to time including some international legs. While I have no experience at BKL, at most other FBOs the CIS will just send an agent out to meet the inbound aircraft on the ramp.

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
I like the building design, but the view of the ramp will be blocked from the Shoreway. No more gawking at sports teams boarding their private jets. BTW--did anyone see Mark Cubans gorgeous 757 parked there for the Mavericks on Sunday? A freaking private 757 for an NBA squad of 13 players! Must be nice!

Sure--this is just like those table side credit card EPOS machines that restaurants in the rest of the civilized world use with tip buttons. For some reason in the USA we still allow our servers to disappear with our credit cards in some back room and have to manually enter the tip amount when they return.... (GRRRRRR!)
