Scripted! Fixed! But it's over now....
  2. The next best thing: A 45 story mixed-use tower with a transit center on the ground floor in the current surface parking lot just off the west quadrant. It kills several birds with one massive stone.
  3. Not to take this too far off topic but I've been told that Cleveland is missing a venue in size between the Wolstein and Masonic auditorium. Jacob's pavilion is less than halfway between but still not quite big enough and obviously can't be used in the winter months. I think near the Rock Hall would be a perfect location for such a venue. Public Hall and Music Hall are both in the size range you seek, and blocks away from your proposed location.
  4. I would think BA would demand a new FIS? Do we even have one anymore? It used to be on Concourse A, but I can't remember going through it in the last 10 years.
  5. ^Love the ore boat rounding the bend at Nautica there as well. Definitely speaks to the size of those!
  6. Let's hope they committed no procedural errors that could cost us a conviction. I'm wondering, if he is implicated and convicted in the Lakewood case, would that add on to his sentence?
  7. There won't be a winter this year. I sold my soul for the Cleveland rights to secure a three-month extension on autumn. You can thank me later. I somehow think this go the way of an My Two Sense prediction! We can probably thank you for snow next weekend now....

The Douchebag Nation has plenty of fans outside of Boston proper. The Sox hat his part of required wardrobe for many a drunken Midwestern frat boy, who claim some sort of Irish heritage to justify their alcoholic binges. It is usually included in a weekly rotation of hats that include a South Carolina Gamecocks variant.
  9. I believe you're right--I got the numbers mixed up. It was designed for 50,000+, and today carries just over 30,000 (at least according to the stats I read during the Captain America filming shutdown).
  10. Or just a street/river-level boulevard. The Shoreway was designed for 30,000+ cars a day and carries a fraction of that now. As for commuters from the West Side, they can opt for I90 if this doesn't suit their car-centric lifestyle.
  11. That's horrible. I strongly oppose any significant uniform changes except replacing the brown pants with orange, but the helmet in particular s iconic (it is indeed the de facto logo) and should not be messed with. The Browns are a traditional team, like the Packers and Bears, and should embrace that. Leave trendiness to newcomers like Jacksonville and Baltimore. Or Cincinnati. Agreed. That helmet looks like it was dragged behind a truck on some fresh asphalt. I'd let the Bengals have a design like that.
  12. Another historical offering from Scene Magazine today, this time of the old Gordan Park aquarium (then and now). I remember going their as a kid. Really not a bad place for an aquarium. http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/12-photos-of-the-old-cleveland-aquarium-then-and-now/Slideshow?oid=4380562
  13. I'm no expert but it really does seem like rushed, sub-standard construction. I'm surprised given the condition of Clifton prior to this that the feds wouldn't require rebuilding the road bed from the ground up. It appears they are just repaving a couple inches over the top.
  14. So my mispost in the suburban thead was prophetic. I hope including Lakewood police on the hunt speeds things up.
  15. Yep--my bad posted in wrong thread. I suppose a mod will move it?
  16. Bad news in Edgewater. Hope they find this guy: http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/09/man_attacks_rapes_woman_joggin.html#incart_river
  17. Shoulda put condos on top of the new Hilton...that would have taken the game changing trophy. But in absence of this, I agree with you.
  18. I'm surprised that Mr Litt is for making downtown Cleveland into Crocker Park. What's next? Designing low-rise concrete buidings for CSU?
  19. ^^intern journalism at its finest. Well done Fox 8. You deserve this.
  20. Cleveland Scene getting in on the historical scene! http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/vintage-photos-of-cleveland-streets/Slideshow?oid=4354692&slide=15
  21. Are there any remaining historic buildings that can be torn down to provide a site for this school? The old Third District police station!! Historic? (check), Architecturally significant? (check), Built up to the sidewalk? (check)......RIP IT TO SHREDS I hope not. One of my favorites in Cleveland!
  22. We are finally seeing the outcome when you let stock price dictate every component of your corporate strategy.
  23. Unfortunately the tourist destination (for boaters) is long gone. Hopefully they can eventually get some of that back.
  24. Welcome to modern sports marketing. This would have been perfect for all the so-called "die hard" Tribe fans back in the late 90's, that couldn't name a player before 1995, let alone Sid Monge.....
  25. This is why it takes decades for a city to shed a reputation. I travel all the time for business. First question out of most people's mouths about Cleveland is "how are the Flats?" They have no idea that its been 10+ years since the party left there.
