Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
When I was in school, there was a kid who got busted breaking into a house, throwing a party and of course the house got trashed. He was sent away for 90 days at the Juvi. These kids today get busted with a gun and are released to their parents 2 hours later. This also has to stop.

Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
As gas station is just a convenience store that, for some reason, you're allowed to park your running Harley outside at 3 am and blast music at 120db. Also, many in the neighborhood don't have cars, and there is also a convenience store 2 blocks away. This development does little for the neighborhood and just helps create pollution and congestion while serving commuters racing through the streets to the Shoreway.

I continue to put forward that they should convert the Mather into the cruise ship dock. No better way to be introduced to Cleveland than by boarding a retired lake carrier on your way to the ground transport.

Worse yet, since these kids aren't actually punished, next year when he turns 18 he will no doubt become a convicted felon, serve time, be unemployable....and the cycle continues. All to be "nice" to kids.

It's a shame that the pharmacy model for the rest of the world doesn't work in the USA (Pharmacie, Apotek, etc). Every neighborhood should have a small pharmacy shop where everything is health related and kept behind a counter where the store clerk or pharmacist has to get it for you. Unfortunately in the US the profits in a pharmacy chain are built on the sales of everything else (greeting cards, junk food, lawn chairs etc...)

Not sure where you're getting this info. The Cuyahoga is dredged to about 30'. I'm on the river all the time with a depth finder and can confirm this.

Ah yes, the most expensive highway project in US history. $24.3 Billion. How does a little town like Bonn afford this? At any rate, something like this would be nice on the lakefront for multiple reasons, including routing 10 axle dump semis off our city streets!

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Makes you wonder where all our money goes. A couple days ago I drove through an 8 mile long tunnel under Bonn Germany that keeps traffic off the city streets. I see these all over the world, but somehow the richest and most powerful country can't pull this off.

Tear the seats out of the Wolstein and you'd have a helluva black box soundstage, right in downtown Cleveland.

Apples to oranges. This site was 23 acres on a former lite office site. Burke is 450 acres on a reclaimed land filled with toxic dredging waste.

Also one that would be VEHEMENTLY opposed by the area Nimbys. An effort to extend the existing runway was squashed maybe 10 years ago. Realigning the runway and putting flight paths directly over homes that were not affected before is a prescription for a suburban Karen riot of epic proportions.

When sports teams come in on chartered 737s, A320's and 757s, yes they use a good chunk.

I've been arguing this with many suburban friends since this project debate was announced. They are brainwashed in thinking that parking downtown is expensive and parking in suburbia is free.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
You can also check with the Cuyahoga County Archives. There were several undertakings by the county in the 20th century to photograph all residential structures in Cleveland. It's hit or miss, depending on the structure and some things were lost over the years in their moves. Judy there is wonderful--contact the archives to make an appointment with her. Meanwhile, in the forward-thinking world, commercial cargo drones are about to be the future. The City of Clevleand should be seeding money to launch a pilot project at their under-utilized BKL. https://www.business-standard.com/world-news/china-successfully-tests-new-highpayload-lowcost-commercial-cargo-drone-124061400618_1.html
