  1. For reference, Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland is just north of 200 events per yer, including 41 Cavs and 36 Monsters games(not including preseason or playoffs).
  2. I wasn't aware of any home on Lake being demoed. There is one at about the same address on Edgewater that is coming down for a new residence.
  3. I would expect if any are still active they are somehow grandfathered in from late 19/early 20th century when these were estates with a single manor home and more property. I couldn't see getting permission to drill a new well in the current density. This could be maybe a maintenance thing for an old well?
  4. Sorry I did not mean it that way, other than soccer in general would not sell a ton of tickets here, and a women's-only team facility even less. If public dollars are involved, I truly believe it should be a shared facility to include the college teams (mens and womens programs)
  5. Does anyone know what's going on at this house on Lake Ave around 112th? There is a massive project going on there along with some kind of drilling rig? My only guess is this is some sort of NEORD project to get down to one of their new tunnels?
  6. Disagree with the dedicated to pro team take. Especially womens pro. Unless privately financed, to which I would say "have at it!" Agree 1000% with a regional training facility. This would be huge. Parents are spending billions on soccer for their kids nationally. There are already quite a few indoor facilities in the area, but none really approach a "world class" environment save for the Spire in Geneva.
  7. Will shuttle buses be provided? 😜 Sorry...bad joke
  8. IMO the Democrats are leaving out a part of the argument for these measures that could potentially be winnable with Republicans--the long term strategic effects of climate change and resources. One needs to look no further than Nazi Germany to see what the effects of lack of resouces do in the time of world conflict. The longer we leave our oil and gas in the ground and focus on other forms of energy, the better off we will be down the road should the world erupt into another conflict. These are not inexhaustible supplies so from a long term strategic planning perspective, it would be best to save as much as we can.
  9. In a city the size of Cleveland I'd be concerned with being able to support such an infrastructure investment and manage it long term. I'd rather see this built in conjunction with Cleveland State to give them a new soccer facility and place this investment in the campus area.
  10. The niners also play in a very expensive market. So it's like when the Yankees come here to play the Guards--there are people in NYC who find it cheaper to fly to Cleveland for a weekend series than go to their own home games. The fact that the niners were undefeated and chasing a streak record also probably helped....
  11. Unfortunately found on Facebook and I didn't see any Youtube link "Acela trains is pulled from the Alstom facility in Hornell to Olean for temporary storage. The Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad is up front pulling this sleek new set, one of two dozen being assembled in Hornell for eventual use on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor that runs between Boston and Washington, D.C" https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1445055056279181
  12. The best grocery stores I've ever had the pleasure to shop at! I wish they would run Giant Eagle out of Cleveland.
  13. Looks like the summer incentives are kicking in as well. This is something that many departments across the nation are having to do to fill ranks with new officers. https://wtam.iheart.com/content/2023-10-12-police-applications-up-45-in-city-of-cleveland/
  14. I was one of them!
  15. That's all fine, but how much parking comes with a $1 million home? 😜

Lebron will officially be the oldest player in the league this year. Man does time fly!
  17. Must have been an unusual departure for CLE? Departed 6 then turn back out over the Chardon VOR?
  18. Any chance you'll use your CFII and do some instructing in retirement?
  19. Nothing like a nice afternoon stroll along the river in some 4" heels....
  20. I think it had more to do with the new offensive scheme the Browns unveiled against the Ravens.
  21. Great news especially with another route in/out of the flats closed down via Franklin for the Irish bend project.
  22. I would agree with you, but for the August election the reverse was true. There were hundreds of signs against the right wing move to limit the people's ability to choose.
  23. Casual observation from my weekend car cruise out Lake Ave to Avon. There are hundreds of Vote No on Issue 1 signs. Haven't seen a single one for. Clearly the GOP right wing propaganda machine has fired up after their resounding loss in August.
  24. Especially if your QB1 is going to go shoulder-first into linebackers instead of sliding. 🤦‍♂️
  25. Reminds me of this sad sight I see every Thursday afternoon....Clevelanders lining up in their cars for hours because they can't afford food....
