  1. I took the classic car on a ride through the Rocky River reservation last night and noticed a couple large gathering of immigrants. One was a huge family gathering with lots of children (maybe Indian), and then there was a bunch of young guys all playing soccer (maybe West African). So nice to see these communities gathering in masse and enjoying the Emerald Necklace!
  2. Like most things in Cleveland building, there is very little, if any enforcement.
  3. Beautiful! This is what the Bridgeworks site deserves!
  4. One thing i can promise you, 5 years from now Kari Lake will still be on Twitter claiming she didn't lose, nor did Trump.
  5. Exactly my point. Cleveland should see this economic opportunity as it is putting up way more than Berea to be a part of the team's home in Cleveland.
  6. Last weekend I had to grab a couple rooms for my client at the Hilton Garden Inn on Carnegie. Both the Browns and Guardians were home. The HGI rooms were $550/night. The following Monday they were probably $119. Everything else in town was sold out or just had 1-2 rooms left.
  7. Unfortunately they are very serious, and if ever given power again would execute these Trumpian modes of revenge on the liberal states.
  8. I could see this argument, and certainly the same one exists in Cleveland. But in Cleveland it's been a sea of parking lots and vacant land, so a football facility would an upgrade. There's also the argument for keeping 100% of the payroll tax in the city since we are paying into the facility more than the burbs.
  9. Proof that the Browns could move from Berea and have an urban practice facility. Any negotiation for public money should also include a move from Berea, and an investment in their football villiage on the lakefront.
  10. I am outspoken (perhaps the only poster) advocating for the Browns to move from Berea OH to downtown Cleveland. This is proof that it can be done!
  11. Would love it if the timing works. Are questions about Ms. Birdsong off the table? 😜
  12. Really? How about start at their Twitter threads and let me know the last time Stacy Abrams mentioned something about her election loss? Kari Lake tweets about it literally 20 times a day for over a year now.
  13. Tito definitely has ties here now with investments in various businesses. I heard he's about to open another restaurant locally. Hopefully he maintains a home here since he can afford to escape Cleveland winters and look after his health.
  14. Is this the Bengals only practice facility? Or do they have one in the burbs somewhere?
  15. Welcome back the pride of Willoughby South! I was sad to see him go in the first place--I love a Browns team with a lethal dual threat out of the backfield, like the Byner and Mack days of my youth!
  16. Cleveland based poster here--just saw this thread when scrolling through recent activity. Does this mean the hotel bar at the HIlton is no longer there? I loved that place when staying in Cincinnati!
  17. Which is a cornerstone of what our politicians should be fighting for here. If there is going to be public money then the development should be transformational in connecting the lakefront to downtown. There should also be residential, restaurants and retail. And IMO, the Browns should move their offices and practice facilities there as well. If we are going to invest in the stadium, then the Browns should be real partners in investing in our lakefront.
  18. I have my travel agent looking for rooms for a client the weekend of 9/23. Between the Browns, Guardians and other events here are some of the responses: Intercontinental: $449 Metropolitan at the 9: Sold Out Ritz Carlton: Sold Out Westin: Sold out on 9/23. Doubletree Lakeside: $371.50 Hotel Indigo: $449 Aloft: $629 Bad problems for me...but good for Cleveland! Probably worth mentioning in the Browns thread as they do generate economic activity.
  19. Unless you want to see concerts in the stadium, where the US Bank building is famously bad for it's accoustics! https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/us-bank-stadium-concert-sound-concerns/
  20. They also last much much much longer. Those of us who grew up prior to the late 1980's remember the cars that would literally be rusty not long after leaving the showroom. Cars are also WAY more reliable so if you take care of yours, the maintenance costs are next to nothing.
  21. I would gladly pay to not have someone talking on facetime via speakerphone next to me like this morning at CLE
  22. Bye Felicia Fox!
  23. Backside of the Baker Building renovation from the Beacon parking ramp the other night.
  24. Fair enough, but bad optics none-the-less.
  25. I was thinking about this post this morning as I watched 2 RTA transit police (complete with arm sleeve tattoos and wrap-around Oakleys) ticketing cars in the bus lane on Clifton. I'm all for the bus lanes on Clifton, but this seems like a horrendous waste of resources to have 2 officers in a full-sized SUV performing this function.
