  1. Was the 26 bus that full that it couldn't have taken you on?
  2. Probably more a matter of "when" than "if"
  3. Cleburger replied to KJP's post in a topic in Mass Transit
Glad for the national attention, but would also be glad if it was getting local attention. Not even a retweet from RTA. Their feed is only filled with rail line service disruptions :(
  4. A couple from the lake yesterday evening, including one our newest Cleveland addition the "Lady Caroline."

It's such a shame that most of that much-needed water will end up back in the Pacific. California really needs to up it's reservoir game.
  6. Awful. How is it we built multi use buildings for hundreds of years, with ground floor shops and 2nd floor residences, but we can't pull it off today?
  7. Ditto! My email stressed the importance of the Lakeshore corridor and it's connection to a 3 C line
  8. Oh good. I was worried the Cleveland Bagels would be too busy packing up and moving and wouldn't be able to keep up their normal duties: discussing their new tattoo or what craft beer the drank the night before while 60 people wait outside for bagels. The owner should fire every one of them and replace them with the immigrant guys in every bagel shop in NYC that move thousands of customers an hour.
  9. Are those faux 2nd floor windows?
  10. A city can dwell deeply on its past while also looking at the future. Signed, Europe and the rest of the modern industrialized nations.
  11. Ohio is trending on TwitterX with MAGA fools like Kari Lake leading the charge saying the election is stolen, posting an example of the scanners not working in Cuyahoga Falls today. I hate to break it to her, those ballots probably ended up being manually counted. I do fear for the future of our democracy if this keeps up.
  12. Any chance we could put forth a voter initiative requiring the people's approval of district maps? Or would that be too cumbersome?
  13. I was just in Seattle and Portland last week. I've seen it first hand...it's not that bad.
  14. Who doesn't like quiet neighbors? When I lived in Little Italy in my 20's, my bedroom overlooked the wall at Lakeview. It was so peaceful. Barely a peep was heard.
  15. It would be great if the City could actually convert the Shoreway into a Boulevard with at-grade intersections, then put up all that land along the shoreway for sale on the opposite side of the tracks to developers with a 10 story minimum.
  16. First I've heard of said alliance. Checking it out! Edit: Website is inoperable. Boo. https://www.lakeshoretrain.org
  17. DUB does have a US FCIS pre-clearance center.
  18. and unlike downtown, many of those buildings won't have any great re-uses.
  19. MSG is an arena and theater, built on top of a train station. Very multi use!
  20. Sure! The same reason a club owner holds people at the door to make a big line happen!
  21. I have to laugh every time I go to Crocker and even more of the meter spaces are bagged for "so and so pickup zone" etc. They tried to imitate an old fashioned "main street USA", but of course suburbanites want to be able to pull up and park in front of their store or restaurant whenever they feel like it....
  22. Hoping to see this building drop some seeds for many more like it down Detroit to connect with Ohio City. Cleveland's very own gold coast!
