  1. Overhead today from 4000' of the western part of U Circle/Clinic

Checking in from 4,000 feet on the way to the approach to 24L today.
  3. Is the site big enough for an NFL stadium?
  4. I use RTA to the airport frequently. On the train, I never really feel unsafe. It's the walk to or from the station that I have to weigh out carefully when carrying luggage, laptop, etc. Late night arrivals I'll skip because of other robberies around my station.

I am in Europe for work. Please post a summary and enjoy!
  6. It's NIMBY season in Lakewood--this time over a bike path on Bunts. Do these people realize that if traffic is calmed, some of it will find its way to other streets and away from theirs? Its almost like they want to make traffic move faster--like PLEASE MAKE MY STREET 5 LANES WIDE! Grrr..... One of Lakewood's busiest streets might be getting a bike lane LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Some longtime residents of Bunts Road in Lakewood are concerned that an improvement project scheduled to begin next year could exacerbate traffic instead of helping to relieve the problem. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/one-of-lakewoods-busiest-streets-might-be-getting-a-bike-lane
  7. Also security in the red line park-n-ride lots. Most of the lots are covered with broken glass from car break ins.
  8. Haslam is probably putting this on as a show.
  9. And the Browns stadium won't have Lawson's chip dip....
  10. Seems like a potential meeting half way? Maybe a waterfront line extension to reach it? And a surrounding mixed-use development with Jimmy given the parking on game days?
  11. Is this site big enough for an NFL stadium?
  12. When the GOP says "Make America Great Again," remember that West Virginia is their vision for this.
  13. So you're basically saying that Jimmy's dome will be built next to the airport, will have outlived it's useful lifespan, and the Browns moved to Orange Beach Alabama before the airport management is ceded?

This is the kind of $hit that will start to infuriate the public. Park Rangers making $60k/year telling their stories of being fired with no notice will pull on the heart strings of regular Americans.
  15. I'm not sure it's working. I literally just clicked on a Cleveland.com Facebook post and 99% of the comments were negative. For Cleveland.com, which is normally a home of suburban trolls, that's impressive.
  16. These would be ok for fans but not appropriate for the large blocks booked by corporations for event workers, sponsors, etc. We could try the Jacksonville trick and have all those Great Lakes cruise ships winter in the port of Cleveland to add room capacity. But this would make more sense still with a dome on the lakefront.
  17. The 2021 draft was held in a muddy parking lot outside the existing stadium. Definitely not a requirement. Cleveland is suffering from a shortage of hotel rooms that the NFL will be wary of (along with weather for travel and the litany of outdoor events leading up to the game).
  18. What is the county/port financed a mixed use development with parking ramps that included top floor residential and ground floor retail/restaurants? I've mentioned this several times upthread over the last couple years. Let Jimmy take the revenue on game days and we get the development the other 350 days a year.
  19. I take Amtrak to/from Buffalo quite often and, if everything is running on time, it's actually quite competitive since there is only one quick intermediate stop in Erie PA. Cleveland do Buffalo is typically right around 3 hours, and the reverse is around 3:20. I can drive in slightly less as long as their is no traffic, weather, police, etc. But not that much less.
  20. I believe it is just USCG. Didn't the Navy also have the payroll facility over there by 72nd/MLK back then?
  21. I would expect something a little more blue collar, like "The Ken Ganley Kia Dawg Pound," feating pictures of a beaming Mackenzie, with her long flowing MAGA extensions.
  22. All the more reason to invest in a downtown location.
  23. And in the non warm climates, money certainly was. New York of course had 2 teams and their influence, and Detroit is the home of auto manufacturing, one of the biggest advertisers and sponsors with the NFL. Indy is the NCAA--basically the NFL minor league. Minnesota? Not sure about that one but I'm sure the owner had some pull.
  24. That will take way longer than whatever dome Jimmy builds is still in its "useable lifespan."
  25. Also some demo on the existing taller building including removing the old windows.
