  1. I don't see why the FAA would object if built south of the current footprint of the Rock Hall and FE Stadium. Both our outside of the runway safety areas.
  2. Not entirely true. The design of West Blvd from 90 north to Baltic Ave caters to suburbanites cutting through the neighborhood to get to the Shoreway.
  3. I know when the west Shoreway was converted to the 35 mph blvd that everyone still does 60 mph on....there were stats on daily car trips on it. It was built for 60,000 cars daily, and by the mid 20-teens there were less than 30,000 cars daily. If the trend towards working at home continues, I fail to see why suburbanites would complain about removing this road and downgrading it to a local road that serves it's neighborhood better?
  4. I had lunch at a small one in Aachen Germany this past summer. Not where I would expect good sushi, let alone conveyor belt sushi...but it was quite good!
  5. I've seen them in other parts of the world all along. I think in the US they got a bad name because the operators tend to cut cost and quality. Elsewhere in the world it's still done right.
  6. This should help quell some of the "shows never play Cleveland" banter from the peanut gallery!
  7. 😂 as someone who travels for a living, I find this extremely funny. Try the 405 on a Friday afternoon. 480 and 271 might as well be country lanes....
  8. I don't think the FAA could force a property owner to keep the stacks just because they are a VFR checkpoint. They would just update the next version of the chart without them.
  9. That's cool! Would love to see a SW version of that when it gets a bit higher :)
  10. Completely maddening! Especially when a once in a generation storm like Sandy happens and NYC needs money, and all the southern politicians vote against helping a "liberal hellhole."
  11. I would argue that there are plenty of NHL defensemen that are "enforcers" and opposing players fear. Edit: Forgot to congratulate the Bengals fans from this jealous Browns fan up north!

Then Steph and the Warriors spanked them by 30 points 😅
  13. Well there's definitely a box office, that still has paper tickets. I am usually there to pick up comp tickets I get from visiting teams, oddly enough, so can't speak to the service fees. But in 99.9% of the venues in North America, a visit to the box office will allow you to save on the additional charges.
  14. The CIty of Cleveland is not quite as easy now with the disbanding of the 311 line, but if you have the wherewith-all to hunt down the number for Division of Waste, call them, and request a new can, they will get one out within a week. Same goes for damaged cans--you can leave the bad one in your driveway and they will swap it out.
  15. You can still do that in Cleveland, no?
  16. My bad didn't have time to read this morning! :)
  17. So many people have enjoyed the single-day openings of this I would think it would garner a lot of support.
  18. I wouldn't put it on the Leno level!
  19. I've met him before when looking for winter storage for a car--he operates State Alarm out of a pretty non-descript building on Lake Ave (between Lake and Detroit). Maybe perhaps this property is in play somehow as well and he needs a place to move operations?
  20. I did enjoy watching a United 777 on approach to Hopkins. SFO-EWR redeye was diverted to CLE this morning.
  21. This is true--Von Miller left the Rams for the polar (literally) opposite team in the Buffalo Bills. He's injured now, but it appears he made a good decision as the Bills are playing at an elite level.
  22. Reading this I looked up the CEO and it sounds like from this interview earlier in the year, he is focused on shepherding the auto industry into the EV generation. It would be great for Cleveland to play a roll in this transformation.
  23. I would put money on the Nucleus site with a shovel in it long before Tower City. It's smack dab in the middle of all their Cleveland assets (Cavs-sportsbook-Casino) and will have immediate profits. I could see Bedrock borrowing a design from Detroit, tweaking it and dropping it in this site before anything else.
