  1. Apples to oranges. Most modern shows can't play Public Hall because it won't allow for the complex rigging needed. Public hall is more of huge theatre than a small arena.
  2. I wonder if the defense to some extent is playing "easy" since they know the offense won't put up points to support them. No one wants to get hurt in a losing effort. If Watson comes in and starts putting 40 points up a game and the defense steps up, then we'll know.
  3. I love the @GCRTA response to the tweet..."please DM us more information so we can address". Uhm...he told you in the tweet! I'm afraid the rank and file at RTA have gone the way of City of Cleveland employees. They show up to work and do as little as possible, only worrying about quitting time and their early retirements at 50 years old.
  4. My favorite plays were the 3rd and 4th down sneaks by Brissett resulting in a turnover on downs. Well done for a team with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt behind him.
  5. Great there will be concrete jersey barriers lining the lakeshore and a distinct lack of park benches. 😜
  6. I've thus far avoided but must now ask, did anyone get fired this evening? This team is too stacked with talent to be getting blown out. I can see losing some close ones, but it's like they give up after the first quarter.
  7. As far as I know only one other Bills game has been postponed due to snow (Bills Jets 2014) Far more games in the south have been postponed due to hurricanes. Besides, even if they had a roof, they still wouldn't be playing due to the road closures in the area.
  8. Does anyone know what the wall-looking structure as captured in this screenshot from the video is? It was from the view looking east from the hotel.
  9. One way to make it out--go on social media and tell your fans your stuck. The Mafia will show up in droves.
  10. I was watching Buffalo local news this morning and they were bemoaning the same thing--most of the Bills live in and around Orchard Park where the stadium is. Their snowfall total is near 5 feet. How on earth could the Bills and NFL go through the trouble fo moving the game, but not immediately start moving all the staff, equipment and players? Someone seriously "fumbled" the ball!
  11. This and the city/college should be actively marketing it as a world-class sound stage for film, or rehearsal facility for concert tours. As we've seen upthread, CSU basketball is not drawing. they can play in a smaller facility to free up the avails at the Wolstein for long term rentals.
  12. I might agree if we didn't already have plenty of lakefront parks. Just to the east the Gordon parks are underutilized. The ones to the south of the shoreway are growing over. And we DEFINITELY don't want the City of Cleveland in charge of anything. They can't maintain the properties they already have.
  13. I can confirm from talking to employees there that anytime a hole is dug in the field, they say it oozes out smelly brown and black sludge that is clearly not healthy.
  14. Let's see there are public housing projects, single family townhomes and baseball fields. Also keep in mind, the area you are showing is about 100 acres. Burke is 450. I somehow think most people on Urban Ohio are dreaming in more grandiose SIM-City fashion!
  15. From the river a few days back--the crane was peeking above the R&D center.
  16. By 38'.... I fly into BKL all the time including runway 6R and the Rock Hall sits further south than the stadium, which is much taller. Just for reference, here are a couple shots i took on approach to BKL a couple winters back. You can see 24L/6R might have issues with building out on the port land, but 24R/6L is offshore.
  17. 7 kids were just murdered at U of Virginia and Idaho. I guess they better be installing skywalks. 🙄
  18. The height restriction is literally on that little patch of land at Voinovich park which is under the RSA for runway 6L, not everything north of the Shoreway. How else would you explain the stadium, the Rock Hall and the E&Y buildings, all built north of the road?
  19. Wnen was the last time you've visited Buffalo? There are thriving neighborhoods. Check out Elmwood Village. Allentown. Hertel Ave. Parkside. And Buffalo still has it's millionare row. And FYI Buffalo State and UB both have campuses in Buffalo. I think you're referring to UB North Campus, which would be the equivalent of a huge university in Parma. Back to the Browns!
  20. I agree. Like with Burke Lakefront, I bemoan that Cleveland is taking the easy way out instead of making this into something that sets up apart from similar sized cities. Wolstein has been well maintained and should be pushed for use in movie production and/or concert tour rehearsals. Instead we'll tear down a 30 year old building to put up a mini CSU version of Crocker Park.

If the Browns are getting blown out I'll take my Chubb jersey off to blend in with the bills fans. As it stands, hopefully the "good Browns" show up as it looks like the passing games for both teams will be ineffective. Might be a good week to have Chubb and Hunt on your team.

I'll be at Orchard Park rooting on the Browns. Orchard park is right at the start of Buffalo's "snow belt." So hopefully they only get a foot or two.
  23. As someone that uses BA 223 out of BNA frequently, I will caution users in Cinci that the flight ends up delayed all the time. The slightest little maintenance issue on this end and you're sitting their for hours, crew timing out, and no food on the plane once it does go. However, as a Cleveland based flier I'm just a bit jealous also! Congrats to CVG!
  24. Hopefully the 8400 Lake development will improve the odds for this corner.
  25. Well we did have Ulimate for a hot minute but the pandemic killed the service. Years ago we did have scheduled service from BKL via airlines, with Wright Airlines, Midway and Beaver Air (my stepmother was a flight attendant with Wright for a few years when I was younger).
