I'd rather see loads of residential. Tourism would only be brief in the summer months. A couple thousand residents living on the river and supporting TC retail would be more impactful. I'd love to see some sort of inlet from the river with a marina incorporated.

The ONLY reason to make a play today is to silence all the "Tribe till I die" haters. If the Guardians make the World Series in their first year, everyone will be a supporter and the naysayers over the name change will slip into the fringes. It also won't hurt that the team will have a swag selling bonanza, as everyone rushes to grab the new gear.

Agreed! Everytime I drive by there is a couple tied up by the stadium, plus the normal lake freighter operations into the river and whiskey island as normal.

We really need the City to turn over airports to the Port Authority. But it will never happen as long as all the patronage jobs exist at the airports.

This is a mostly USA problem. In the rest of the developed world, there is still plenty of centre city shopping, and it's packed especially on weekends with families out enjoying fresh air and exercise. Last one here turn the lights out...

Actually by not citing UH they ARE treating the like any other property owner in the city. I'm pretty sure most of the Cleveland home inpectors show up to clock in, go to lunch right after then come back to clock out. Not much work gets done.
