What are you watching?
Finally watched "Don't Look Up" on Netflix last night. It's pretty good and scary at the same time. A frightening view of modern society in the age of social media.

Affordable Housing
On the fringe of Detroit Shoreway...these people need some help according to this Scene article from last week. How HUD Subsidizes a Dangerous, Neglected Apartment Complex in Cleveland Posted By Cid Standifer on Tue, Dec 21, 2021 at 9:21 AM Terri Jackson has a long list of concerns about her government-subsidized apartment at Neal Terrace, a 121-year-old complex in Cleveland where she’s lived since 2012. The carpet is peeling off the stairs and the banister is broken. Underneath the sink, there’s been a leak for so long that the pot set there to catch it has a thick layer of rust. She hasn’t been in the basement for two years because the patch of black mold on the wall and the pool that forms whenever it rains frighten her. NCAA Football: General News & Discussion
LOL... The "theatre" of security by a $9/hour security guard. And totally believable for the Alabama football program!~

Lake Erie
Looks like a low altitude lenticular cloud to me. I've seen them before flying out of BKL.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Baker threw 4 INTs and still took a potential Super Bowl team to the final minutes. I'm still optimistic about the proverbial "next year" in Browns town.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Great to have it included, but Is the Arcade really "the lobby" for the Hyatt? I'm happy to have stayed in 5 of the hotels on the list, including the Hyatt Cleveland.

Cleveland: Mayor Frank Jackson
Mayor Frank G Jackson's Portrait Unveiling Ceremony This is cringeworthy for many reasons. It's a 52 minute video. The first 25 minutes is waiting for the program to start (which is uncomfortably symbolic of the Jacknife administration). Skip ahead to 41 minutes for the dreadful reveal. https://fb.watch/a3myLGVqYn/

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
I would expect any new Justice Center would have some sort of small CPD outpost?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Totally. Why couldn't Mcglaughlin test positive. I'd be happy with a practice squad kicker

Favorite Music At The Moment?
I remember CKLW as the only AM station I could receive on my bicycle radio that played music. RIP. Thinking of this made me look up the radio--it was an Archer "Road Patrol" that mounted on the handlebars and had a horn button. I thought I was hot $hit!

Cleveland: Historic Photos
Looks like Music Hall construction is beginning as well.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
My wife and I used Victoria Nagy to update our will last year. I believe she is based on the east side, but has an office in Rocky River off Lake Ave where we met her to sign our papers. I'm not legal scholar, but she seemed to be on top of her game and explained things thoroughly. Office: (216) 831-5100

Pet Peeves!
Schedule one at a pharmacy in Ohio. I was told by a pharmacist here that they don't really check, because if they don't use them all up they have to throw it away.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
Center St (and all the area bridges) would last a lot longer if there weren't fleets of 10 axle dump trucks crossing them daily. I've noticed the Detroit Superior decking is getting pretty torn up lately as well.

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
It's no secret that the City of Cleveland are not ideal landlords or business partners. They can't even manage a market of food vendors, let alone a downtown reliever airport. Burke isn't going anywhere soon due to the FAA and landfill under the runways. I do hope Mr Bibb can change the culture of the City of Cleveland. Let's make lemonade!

Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
If I were Justin Bibb, I would be looking for economic development activity in one of America's poorest cities. There is nearly a mile of taxiway access down the marginal with undeveloped land, ready for aviation-related businesses to plant roots (at one of the nation's few airports located in a central business district). CGF has already done an impressive job with the growth of Flexjet on their property. It's time for Cleveland to look for similar opportunities, as we are <1 hour flight time to the majority of the North American population.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Hopefully the thing is counter-weighted so it can open without any mechanical action....otherwise it would put the Goodtime out of business when it gets stuck down in the spring!

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Gotta go with the Case Keenam vs Denver game plan. Short passes and timely runs. They can win it.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I noticed this even more from the new vantage points along the OC. Would love to see this spread towards the rapid stations along the corridor.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I just saw video of Baker meeting with local schoolchildren, picking them up, hugging them etc. He was in a mask and the kids were too. While we all love these sorts of charitable endeavors, perhaps they are not wise during Covid times...

I have a nice scar on my leg from a softball game at Outhwaite. I "found" a broken beer bottle in the outfield grass!

It was a beautiful day in the Land today! So much new development going on around the historic sites! Yes officer...I was making a picture while driving!

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
There are 300 million guns in this country. People are getting shot everywhere. You are correct--it's perception by suburbanites that downtown is a shootout free-for-all, while meanwhile there are drive-bys and murder/suicides happening right outside their white picket fences.

Cleveland: Cudell / West Boulevard / Edgewater: Development and News
Unfortunately my dealings with Mooney have been watching him rubber-stamp these sorts of decisions. Will give it a try though.
