  1. What a business model! And when the renter turns the car, it's on them to find it a legal parking space. Brilliant.
  2. If they're going to do this, they should build right on the harbor front, and include a glass window in the basement that looks directly underwater into the harbor. It's dredged to about 20 feet along those retaining walls. Might be very fascinating if they can actually lure some local aquatic life with bait in the water.
  3. Drive thru window. You want fries with that SSI check?
  4. Losing a home game is a sure sign of a franchise dwelling the cellar. Jacksonville signed on for a long term deal...
  5. Unfortunately the Bengals will be foraging the same trough. Whatever money Dewine gives the Browns, they will want an equal share.
  6. Drove by there about an hour ago and there were a couple CAT power trucks parked out front. Must be having generator work done?
  7. Fantastic news. I've always loved this building. Driving west on Euclid out of East Cleveland it always seemed to say "you are entering a great city," long before the buildings of Uptown sprang forth. I don't remember the name of the bar, but I used to go there as an underage lad to drink and listen to Jimmy Armstrong and Eric Elliott. Great memories.

We've fully entered the yellow journalism, pre-fascism phase of the early 20th century. Except this time around the professionals churning out content have been joined by the drunk boomer uncles of the world, spreading lies to the masses from their Ipad on the recliner.
  9. Certainly with that kind of floorplate it would have to be a full restaurant with attached bar. Even the bars at the Chicago Ws were a fraction of the size of that floor.
  10. I saw some talking head on cable news claiming that there would have to be investigations in to "Japan's ties with China.." FWIW
  11. Draft 10 and surely one will work out? For the Browns, probably not. Funny tweet about the Deshaun "setback" yesterday. I redacted the NSFW words.
  12. I haven't been in there in years, but there used to be the usual barber shop, small convenience store, etc.
  13. I would take this a step further and hope that Marriott/W are not operating the restaurant. Hopefully they lease out the space to let a real restauranteur operate it, so it doesn't end up as a meh hotel restaurant with a great view. W has a history of this, with their partnerships with Randy Lerner, etc. Actually a "Whisky Sky" late night lounge akin to what they did in Chicago would be great for Cleveland.
  14. As someone who owned a house near those tracks years ago, I can assure you eventually you just don't even notice it. And its probably not as bad today as when I had the house, as there are far fewer trains using that NS line through Lakewood these days.
  15. A good point. But--in a town like Cleveland where there have been decades of bad press, never miss a chance to make a great first impression.
  16. As is US Steel
  17. I'm a fan. Great neighborhood bar with reasonably priced drinks and food.
  18. One aspect of a modern airport design is the use of dual restrooms, so one can be closed while the other is being cleaned. Also modern airports have more room in the restrooms for luggage.

I still don't understand if the east side is "emptying out" and the near west side is gaining population, how the east/west stayed even?
  20. I remember a Record Town, then later a FYE.
  21. On the C concourse, the heating fixtures in the mens rooms are rotting away from urine being splashed on them. They've definitely been there wayyyy too long. Thankfully I have a United Club membership so only use the toilets in there these days unless returning late night and have no other options.
  22. You can probably bet the farm on it. The Haslams also gave us great football decisions like Johnny Football and picking Baker Mayfield over Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson (ok well Baker wasn't the worst ever...)
  23. I drove by it yesterday--no sign up yet of course.
  24. They would probably still fly the blimp over downtown. Also the Blimp couple probably operate in the immediate vicinity of the stadium without affecting operations at CLE. It was able to do so with BKL still functioning.
