Naw, the two threads are completely related and should be merged imo.
  3. That's what happens when you are an ACE member for eternity :-D
  4. It definitely was in the back! Up front I felt it was OK. So I decided to try out the back cars....ummmm no! It felt like I snapped my spine in half! I was friggin hurting! :shoot:
  5. LOL I was being facetious ;-)
  6. Amazing how when the Flyers suck all of a sudden, no one wants to talk about it anymore. LOL Oh well, it was a good run anyway! :-)
  7. UD drops out of top 25 By Staff reports Monday, January 28, 2008 Three straight losses have bounced the Dayton Flyers out of the Associated Press men's basketball rankings. UD, which was ranked No. 16 last week, no longer is in the top 25. UD, which spent three weeks in the rankings, received 69 votes in the poll released today. The Flyers have the 29th most points in the poll. The Flyers fell to 14-4 with an 80-63 loss at Richmond on Saturday night. I Get out and see what's happening everyday that I work downtown. No need to tell me! ;-)
  10. Word has it on the street, KI is removing the PTC trains from both the Beast and the Racers. I believe the G trains are being moved from the SoB to the Beast and the SoB will be getting the trains from Villian. I would imagine that the Racers would never be changed from backwards to forwards except for maybe testing and fitting of the new trains.

good luck Grasscat! But I'm sure we'll see ya around! ;-)
  12. ^---Well, the DDN sure dropped the ball on this one. Bimini Bills has been closed for quite some time. My best friend, who has owned Area 51 in Kettering and the Paradox in Huber Heights was in the process of buying this from the former owner and was planning on re opening as a beach themed night club until the owner reneged on the deal and jacked the price up thinking my buddy was gonna bite. Ummm nope! My friend is now pursuing the Foundry with intent on using the beach theme there instead. Too bad Bimini Bill's owner! You should not break a deal!

  15. Bravo Ohio! I'm a little surprised that none has been spotted in Montgomery or Green Counties. Montgomery has a good river system and dozens of lakes and Greene County has a lot of wetlands.

I remember it quite well. My dad got stuck at work for almost 4 days before they were able to clear out the snow enough to get the workers home. Dayton Daily News has a little something as well. http://www.daytondailynews.com/o/content/oh/story/opinions/columns/2008/01/24/ddn012408dale.html

How bout this...we can do eleet hacker-caps and it could be "DowNTowN CinCiNNatTI". That would end any controversy!
  18. I completely agree, but unfortunately I don't think we'll ever see Oktoberfest and Rivertown returned to their former glory. One thing that it seems these multiple-park operators seem to not understand or completely ignore is that Kings Island has been a successful product long before these big guys came in. The park doesn't need to be completely re-molded and branded...it already has a huge/loyal customer base. Oh definitely! Kings Island was never better than before the big buyouts. It was a great park. I remember the good 'ol days...King Cobra...Screamin' Demon...the Flying Dutchman...Keelboat Canal...even the little 'ol ferris wheel was fun back in the day. R.I.P.

Musky, I wish you luck. My best friend just went through all this and almost even lost his son in the process. Everything is done now and he is doing much better. Things will look up!

I guess if they formally call the region downtown, then yes, it would be capitalized. But pretty much everything I read on the internet (with a few exceptions) says no to this. This is just another one of those flaws with the English language since Northern Cincinnati would obviously be capitalized and downtown Cincinnati may or may not be capitalized depending on the circumstance.
