No, it should not be capitalized because in this instance, it is being used as a descriptor. Downtown is not necessarily a named area such as Clifton, Over the Rhine, Mount Adams, etc. but a a generalized description of the central core or central business district of cities. Thomas, I definitely know that streetcar would not be capital in the way you are using it unkess it were the official name of the system such as the Cincinnati Streetcar Rail System, but you are using it as a descriptive statement which would not make it a proper name.

New flight from Dayton to Myrtle Beach set Staff Report Wednesday, January 23, 2008 DAYTON — Southern Skyways, a scheduled public charter operated by Primaris Airlines, will begin seasonal nonstop jet service between Dayton International Airport and Myrtle Beach, S.C., in May. The flights will begin on May 23 and operate through Labor Day, airport officials said Wednesday. Service will be offered on Fridays and Mondays with fares ranging from $79 to $129 each way, depending on availability. Southern Skyways is offering an initial promotion deal in which, for families which book reservations by Feb. 29, a child 12 or under can fly free when accompanied by an adult paying full fare. In March 2007, Southern Skyways announced plans to start low-fare service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to Myrtle Beach and to Charleston, W.Va. But the airline never began that service and canceled those plans in May 2007 because of low bookings for the service. 3. Monument Street span closes in April Dayton Daily News Thursday, January 24, 2008 DAYTON — If you routinely use the Monument Street bridge, you'll need to find an alternative route come April. The Ohio Department of Transportation plans to close the bridge spanning the Great Miami River for replacement beginning this spring. The work is expected to take 18 months, said Steve Finke, Dayton's assistant director of Public Works. The city must pay about 27 percent of the estimated cost of the project, about $79,466. 4. Kroger proposal depends on city's ability to buy properties Funding to buy 89 properties will come from public and private sources. By Joanne Huist Smith Staff Writer Thursday, January 24, 2008 DAYTON — A proposal to build a $16 million Kroger store at the corner of Wayne Avenue and Wyoming Street now rests on whether the city of Dayton can secure options to buy 89 properties on the 12 acre project site. The city completed appraisals on each of the properties last month. On Wednesday, the Dayton City Commission hired O.R. Colan Associates of Florida, LLC to negotiate with property owners. ... http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/01/24/ddn012408citcom.html

  6. So it's basically a big Dayton? Doooohhh!! Sorry I couldn't resist :-D
  7. I would believe all that except for 1 flaw. They are leaving it Drop Zone Stunt Tower as Drop Zone, which still would be named after the Paramount movie staring Wesley Snipes. I just don't get that part. This is what I think and I could be wrong. Cedar fair owns the parks 100% correct? Since these rides are named after paramount productions (movies, characters, etc.), Cedar Fair probably didn't buy or have license agreements. Therefore, Viacom didn't allow CF to keep the names on the rides since they (Viacom) no longer have any (controlling) interest in the parks. I bet the new names were given so they didn’t infringe on Viacom’s licenses. When we sold majority interest in six flag we still own the rights to the names of the rides and everything else is licensed to operate in said parks. Its all legal mumbojumbo! Well, I already know all that...and I would believe all that except for one thing. They are leaving Drop Zone Stunt Tower as just Drop Zone, which still would be named after the Paramount movie staring Wesley Snipes. I just don't get that part. Rando, I do agree with one thing and that is Cedar Fair is trying to make KI just another CP. I think that's what Paramount's flaw was in that it was trying to make it's park's another Universal. But I do think they are doing a better job at what they are doing than what Paramount did. Paramount totally ripped out 90% of Octoberfest which was a big favorite of the general public and it damn near killed Rivertown. I really hope CF can restore these two areas.
  8. HAHAHA! That's to damn funny!

Hmm, didn't even know that was your site. I come across it all the time in web searches. lol
  10. ^---yea, it's catchy, but it could be done without the modern street level additions.

^---That's not necessarily true. Plenty of evidence of underground water on Mars has been surfacing from Nasa over the past couple of years. Although no one has collected a water sample, there's has been photo's of changing landscape patterns that indicated water had flowed through the area in recent years. And I'm also a believer that human knowledge of life in the universe is at about a 6 month old baby education. Just because we "think" that life can't exist without water or oxygen doesn't mean that it's a universal constant. A lot of human knowledge and perception has changed drastically in just the last 100 years. Just imagine what we'll know tomorrow.
  12. ^---Hence the buildings will become giant vacant monoliths in 20 years. Dubai will not be able to support this kind of infrastructure. I believe Dubai's metro population is less than Cincinnati's. I don't know the exact count, don't have time to look it up. Maybe 2.5 mil?
  13. The names make no sense. Italian Job's new name sucks. It should have been something like the Heist or bank robbing themed. Drop Zone is still a Paramount movie, so dropping "Stunt Tower" makes no sense. If they could keep Drop Zone, then they should have kept Face Off. That's a good name for that coaster. Flight Deck? Lame, and I can tell you almost everyone will continue to call it Top Gun for at least the next 5 years. I think Cedar Fair could have done better than these names,
  14. ^--- and Grasscat is the Key-Master!
  15. ^---haha! Are you serious? I've never even played SimCity! Guess I will have to check it out now.
  16. ^---LOL!!
  17. Missed this by a week, but here it is... Kings Island installs new sign, plans to rename rides By Charles Infosino Monday, January 14, 2008 There is a sign of the times at Kings Island — literally. The 364-acre theme park has changed its sign to reflecta name change (the elimination of "Paramount's") that occurred when Cedar Fair, L.P. (Cedar Fair Entertainment Corp.) purchased Paramount's Kings Island and the other four former Paramount Parks from CBS Corporation in 2006. Kings Island's old sign with the Paramount name and logo was removed last November. The new sign was installed at the beginning of January. "When you think of Kings Island, you think of world-class, thrill-inducing roller coasters, action-packed attractions, 15-acre water park, seven-time award-winning kids' area, high-energy entertainment and great times with family and friends," said Don Helbig, Public Relations Area Manager. "We believe our new sign captures the essence of what Kings Island is." Read full article here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&um=1&q=%22kings+island%22+new+coaster+2008&sa=N&tab=nw
