  1. Yea...it's amazing what sexual favors...I mean umm...sobbing stories about your grandmother will do. :drunk:
  2. I'm hoping!
  3. This is sweet...well...not the news I got, but the guy that wrote me about QCS wrote me again this morning. He's *gasp*, the vice president of HOK! Western Southern is really being hush hush about this. To me, the first portion was a "dramatic" change from what the original rendering. I wonder if they flat out got something in the works for phase 2 that is going to be worthy? Well anyway, here's what he said... August 20, 04 Ron, This project is public knowledge, however, the owner is very low key about it and does not want any information about the project released. I will forward your name and e-mail address to our client and let them decide if they want to contact you directly or not. Other than that I am not at liberty to provide any additional information. Joe X. XXX XXXXXXXXX, AIA Vice President
  4. one word...DIAGRAMS!!
  5. Well...after much deliberation, I decided to write to HOK in a pthetic attempt to get some info about QCS. This is what I wrote and the response I got back...obviously, they don't want to release anything about it. Strange considering everyone has already seen the original renderings. Do they have something sweet planned for us? Only time will tell. This project is currently under construction and was designed by your firm. I was wondering if you have any technical data concerning thi project, specifically, I would really like to know the height for my illustration of Queen City Square that can be found at Skyscraperpage.com. http://www.skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?b7314. I'm sure as you can see, it is greatly in need of being updated and I'm sure that the dimensions for the building are not entirely accurate. Additionally, do you have any updated renderings of the phase 2 portion of Queen City Square which is to include the 37 story high-rise portion? Any information is helpful and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Ronnie Garrett
  6. ok. I see now. I just couldn't figure out your post too well. It's been a long weekend! Thanks for the clarification.
  7. ummm, rob_1412. I can't really figure out your post above, but it looks like you don't like people that like trains?? What's wrong with that? I love trains and almost became (and still thinking about becoming) a locomotive engineer. My grandfather also loves trains and is too him like Skyscrapers are to me. Neither one of us where whatever image you describe above...if I am making out your post right.
  8. When I went to K.I. last weekend, I thought the first thing that sucked was the fact the King Cobra was gone. But I have to say that Delirium doesn't make a bad replacement. Is it a coaster? Nope. Could they have left KC there and built Delirium somewhere else? Yes, but at least they put a worthy ride in it's place. K.C. was the first stand up coaster in the country. That's what made it worth keeping for us. but from KI's standpoint, no one really rode it anymore. Bummer that everyone misses it AFTER it's gone. Maybe it wouldn't have been ripped down.
  9. Any more news on this one? Is it still gonna be like the old rendering that I've seen? Or has anyone seen anything new?
  10. FYI, the King Cobra is gone...
  11. sorry, i had to do some editing there...on a side note, the Spongebob Squarepants 3D Theater is a family ride and I enjoyed that! LOL
  12. I think this IS a roller coaster dudes. Just a real fancy one. But I do have to say, since buying K.I., paramount thinks it needs to be another Universal Studios. Hasn't Cedar Point proven that big non-tech hilly rides still work?? But, look at the rendering again...looks pretty cool to me!
  13. I know you're thinking "Toledo? Isn't that a quaker town in Ohio somewhere?". But seriously, on my way back from Cleveland a couple of weeks ago, I decided to drive back home the long way and went through Toledo...where I saw probably the most amazing highway project I have seen in a very long time. The I-280 Maumee River Bridge Crossing project. It's amazing just how they are doing this and I feel is going to be a blueprint to a lot of the I-75 rebuilds through Dayton and Cinci in a few years. Check out the their website... http://www.lookuptoledo.org/servlet/com.hntb.toledo.servlets.NewsManagement?option=3 and these webshots...you'll be amazed. http://www.dot.state.oh.us/dist2/webcams/mrc/MRCwebcams.htm

Well, I don't have any pics of me to post on here (I'm at work). But I'm gonna poke some fun at all of ya...heheh Rich - "Morpheus...I am not the one." Monte - If I saw you walking towards me, I would probably cross the street. MayDay - John Leguizamo in his teen years. Buckey Native - I have no clue... Can't wait to post my pic now after posting this...hehehe
  15. I just visited Cleveland 2 weekends ago for my first time. I have to say I was MORE than impressed with Cleveland's skyline. Pictures just does not do Cleveland justice. On the way up from Dayton, I was expecting to be really dissapointed, but I ended up leaving in awe. Cleveland to me, reminded me of a mini Chicago. Not tangled up and cluttered like New York, but spread out with some seperation between it's buildings with it's tallest virtually standing by itself saying "Look! Here I am! Now envy me!" which is exactly what I did. Key Tower is definately worthy of being Ohio's tallest, and after seeing it for the first time in person, it has moved up into my top ten of favorites. Also, be on the look out for a new diagram from me as I got some VERY detailed pictures of Key. Can't wait! :) Nice job Cleveland!
  16. I'm hoping for around 900ft myself!
  17. Nice pic Rich. Looks like everything is coming along quite well. As for the phase 2, I'm sure we are going to see a dramatic redesign of the main tower as opposed to the old rendering. The first phase's facade or design is nothing like the old one. I think they have something in mind at HOK. Wonder when someone is going to leak it out?
