My cat is laying at my feet...sleeping and looking so peaceful. I think I'll bother him for some reason.

I'm not so sure. Back in the day when I was in car clubs and big back window stickers were the thing, we were hanging out at Taco Bell in Vandalia when the police pulled in and forced us all to peel the stickers off our vehicles or else we would get tickets for having our back windows blocked. It was really stupid the police would waste their time with us like that. A. We were on private property when they approached us. B. Our vision was not obstructed. The lettering was spaced far enough apart and we could see plain as day out our back window. This was just a case of the police having nothing else better to do except harass a bunch of young people who were into custom cars. Well, we filed a complaint to the city and the police never bothered us again after that. As for the boom boxes, I am guilty of having a 10" Bazooka in the back of my car. However I am courteous about it. I don't crank it to deafening levels and I keep it down in residential areas and stop lights. So not everyone who has bass should be considered a nuisance. Just the ones that are discourteous to their surroundings.

I think this is going a little too far. The proper way to deal with this is to give citations and make these people pay money just like any other traffic violation. Next thing you know they will be ripping people's ground effects and spoilers off their cars. I can think of a lot more things for police to worry about than wasting resources by destroying equipment. At the least, sell the equipment and apply it towards the community.

Here's one of the funniest homemade YouTube vid's I have seen! May be a little annoying after you watch a few, but this kid has a lot of these if you want to see more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcZRUnyAE8Y Edit: I see we are having YouTube link problems. Did someone change something?

  8. Good news for the Kettering Delphi plant... Tenneco buys Kettering Delphi, expects to hire 350 By Thomas Gnau Staff Report Monday, March 10, 2008 Tenneco Inc. has agreed to purchase ride control assets and inventory from Delphi Automotive Systems' Kettering facility, as part of Delphi Corp.'s bankruptcy court proceedings, Tenneco said Monday, March 10. The company expects "to hire" 300 to 350 employees, said Roni Moore, a Tenneco spokeswoman. Moore could not say if current employees will be expected to re-apply for their jobs or what the company's hiring mechanisms will be, but she said workers will come from the plant's existing force. The purchase is subject to bankruptcy court approval, Moore said. The purchase agreement has been filed with the court. ... http://www.daytondailynews.com/b/content/oh/story/business/2008/03/10/ddn031008tennecoweb.html

Has anyone ever noticed how pretty the snow looks when you look at your window? Then you walk outside to go to work and you hate it all of a sudden?

Oh yeah, new word I was working on? Good catch though. Only supposed to be two! Strange I would even block out a word like "hell". It's not really considered bad in today's society.

I've got an idea, why don't you give a list of reasons of why you support Hillary, a list that is simply positive, and contains no mention of her merits vis-a-vis other candidates, such as Obama or McCain. Then maybe we could get some dialog going, and perhaps by seeing your opinions parsed by others, you may gain better insight into them and decide whether you want to keep holding them or not. Maybe you could start the dialog you seem to want, since the current fare seems to strike you as inadequate. I just love politics! It gets everyone so riled up. Pass the popcorn! :-D

Somehow, I do not believe the accuracy of this article or it doesn't paint the full picture. With the exception of the GM plant, most of the jobs discussed in the article are from high-tech industries for which Texas is well known for and has been for some many years. Yea, maybe GM has built a new plant there, but the fact is, GM has built over 50 new parts plants in Mexico, some of which were located in Ohio and Michigan at one time or another. Many of these plants are just across the border of Texas. I can't help to think that had a lot to do with building of this new Texas plant. As for the unions, last time I checked, Unions are in every state, not just Ohio. American Axle and Manufacturing Holdings is currently on strike based out of Michigan and New York which is causing many plant shutdowns across the country.
