Video was removed, so I didn't get to see it. But it is very easy to doctor up video's these days and there is a good chance this is some fake b.s. Edit: Just found the video and I'm pretty sure this is fake. There's no reason for the puppy to be yelping after being thrown. Any animal, including humans instinctively freeze up when falling, and I do not see this puppy defying the laws of nature. Also, I used to pitch baseball since 3rd grade, through high school and college. For someone to be able to throw a puppy that size that far, just by the scruff of a neck with that amount of limited arm movement without even doing some warm up tosses would be damn near impossible. My vote: Fake as he***, even though it's still disgusting that someone would even fake a video like that.
  2. I'm willing to gamble they will build their own new buildings, like the one they have in Miamisburg that's combined with Dunkin Donuts. Just more future vacant space :-(

Of course. Make a website and call it RuralOhio and I guarantee that it would be dead on. Not to knock on rural areas, but it really goes to show that farmers and small town folk do not really care what happens in the big cities. This is why Bush won Ohio the past 2 elections. Same thing with Texas. Check out the county by county vote breakdowns, http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#OH http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#TX

When you coming to Dayton again? I have a fully equipped Urban Ohio garage :-D
  5. Ever been? you're in for a treat! :-) Only in terms of food options. You think so? I thought New Orleans was awesome! So much, I put it on my places I wouldn't mind living. :-D

You should be able to get the Bosch for around 90 or less.

Hey Rando, did you happen to notice if they were in the process of constructing the residential high-rise near the river when you were there? Supposed to be Baton's new tallest. When I went last year, it was just an empty gravel lot and a sign. http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=lafayetteh8s-batonrouge-la-usa

I tell you what, YouTube has a video for everything...lol S-Series CTS removal and install http://youtube.com/watch?v=JC0U53w_Htk

Check Autozone for Bosch. I'm trying to remember what the heck a CTS is...are you referring to Coolant Temp Sensor? They quoted you $216 for that?! That should not run more than 20 bucks for the sensor. Or is this all installation included?
  11. Ronnie replied to a post in a topic in Urbanbar
hehe, just having a little fun :-D So, did they quote you a price? Do you know how to do it yourself? Bosch makes a good OEM o2 sensor that is usually better than most and is decently priced. O2's are not usually hard to replace unless it's in a hard to reach spot.
  12. I'm not sure about this. United Dairy Farmers is heavy hitter around Dayton when it comes to Ice Cream.
  13. Baskin-Robbins looking to scoop up market share By Tim Tresslar Staff Writer Sunday, March 02, 2008 Ice cream seller Baskin-Robbins wants to add franchisees and stores in Dayton and Ohio. 14. Or some duct tape and a plywood ramp?
  15. I think Ken Ham got a little to :drunk: one night.
  16. Broken sidewalks are cool! I have one in front of my apartment!
  17. Well he stated "have to stay close to Hamilton/Middletown", but Cleveland's totally opposite of the state and the furthest any meet would be from Cincinnati which is why I found that post rather humorous. N/M, I think this warm weather today got to me or something! :weird:
  18. All these post and pics are great UR! I went to New Orleans and Baton Rouge last summer and absolutely fell in love with the southern style and architecture those cities have! I can't wait to visit again.
  19. I am also concerned about them building this on the wealth of oil...especially at a time when the U.S. and a lot of other countries in the world are starting to realize the evils of oil and are looking for more energy alternatives?

^---Wouldn't this be one hell of a trend? Buying up and demolishing sprawl housing to build....*gasp*....farmland!
  21. I agree. How wide will these buildings have to be in order to reach so high? What will this do for street life (who would want to go outside in that heat anyways??? Has Shanghai, Hong Kong, New York or any other World cities have any problems filling space? I'm not disagreeing with any of you, just throwing that question out there. Dubai is obviously trying to become a world city. The oil money is letting them do that right now and they are planning for the future when the oil dies down. I think this city will be successful and maintain it's status of a world city. If you look around that area, there is nothing but sand. This is an oasis for the people of that region to go to. A growing city that size will obviously have all the opportunities and infrastructures needed to keep itself alive and growing. New York, Shanghai and Hong Kong are world class financial markets with metro populations surpassing 15 million each. Dubai is not a world financial power and only boasts a 1.4 mil population, smaller than all of Ohio's 3 C's metro populations. This is why I think Dubai is going to have a tough time filling these structures. Even if people and business do come in record numbers, it's going to take 20 years just to fill what they have now...not too mention I think everyone is going to need to own a camel as a backup vehicle in that desert heat!
  22. That's surprisingly funny if you read it a couple of times. Talk about contradictions! ;-)
  23. This is NOT the way to try to keep restaurants downtown. Either way, I have a feeling this will be the end of another downtown eatery. Landlord sues Kettering Tower restaurant By Mark Fisher Staff Writer Monday, March 03, 2008 DAYTON — Downtown Dayton's Chantille's Restaurant will remain closed until a lawsuit between its owners and the Kettering Tower over the restaurant's lease is resolved, according to the greeting on Chantille's phone message machine. 24. ^---I'm hoping so as well. But I noticed Youngstown is getting a lot of the vote. Nothing against Youngstown and Warren, but that's a larger city (used to be just behind Dayton for many years) that I think most of us have been to more than once. I'm hoping for maybe a lesser visited city...something that most of us wouldn't visit very often? Kind of why I didn't vote for Hamilton, Middletown or Springfield since most of us have been there a hundred times...

I second that motion. If they can demote a planet because it's too small, then they can demote a planet that would float in a big swimming pool!
