Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
blah blah blah. Job numbers= 10 jobs to run the the whole show.Management. This facility is for exhibition. The fifty to eighty sales people are medical devices comapnies that want to sell there product to the clinic. Every producer of product must sell there product to a user. Take for example Philips makes a few dif. x ray maichine,so they set a sales meeting at the clinic with head of radilology.and push there product. Now there are over 15 departments at the clinic.SO each has four to five sales man come in to sell a product withing there department.Do you understand??? I think the clinic and university host between 40 to 50 conference at the omni hotel on medical advances, etc. I am just saying there is right now a building within walking distance of the present day convention center that is right ready to renovated. Please explain your projected job numbers. Edisou, do you understand the purpose of this facility? Again, this is not about the Cleveland Clinic! I could be wrong, I would think that 50/80 sales folks you're talking about, are (cleveland clinic sales people) in the Clinic for quarterly sales meetings, discussin what revenue they have brought into the clinic. Not sales shows hosted by the clinic where they are looking to buy products/services. This would be a hub of medical services for various industries: wholesale, retail and on occasion consumer. This facility would house permanent showrooms from manufacturers, companies, from the entire medical field. For example, You would have medical furniture, medical furnishing, medical apparel, medical technology, medical office management; medical billing suppliers operating showrooms 24/7. The facility will be able to host and produce new shows and increase the amount of conferences & conventions already coming to Cleveland.

740 million dollars)20 year tax at 37 million a year) minus 110 million(mant.) = 630 million dollars. Ok it cost us 450 million. SO thats 630 million minus 450 million = 190 million dollars . Now thats bowl of crap. Where is the other 190 million dollars going too. A Gymnasium in collinwood whats in the range of 5000 square feet cost 1.9 million dollars to build So a 500,000 square foot hall would cost 190 million dollars. Like I said Ratner is running the show, while the mayor Jackson is a loser. Dimora and Hagan are the communist I want Mayor Tom Johnson back Another thing about these jobs.Medical mart is only going to produce 5 to 10 jobs. ALl the other jobs are just being moved from university circle to downtown. Atleast 4 times a week the cleveland clinic has between 50 to 80 sales people in there hospital selling medical devices.

oooo pittsburg . There not going to pittsburg. Gateway ,browns stadium, rock and roll hall of fame all Publicly finance. THis is unterrly stupid,to think a company that has a location in the hills of North carolina is going to produce anything big. Open your eyes and read the fine print. all the jobs the are going to create are already here.Just now someone else is going to make the money Here is how the this thing is being panned out. Ratner wants to sell tower city.Needs a the convention center to make his numbers a reality (6 milliom visitors a year.) so he fills a empty building higbees with a cut rate rentt to medical mart . He then sells his place( union terminal) at hamsome gain and we get a seldom used convetion center on the river. while we have a another convetion center sitting around. Then we modify the other convention center and and the new one falls inthe river in 10 years . Now we dont have a true convention. Now the tax is extended and we take the old one back and rededicate as the cleveland convetion center. :shoot: :shoot: :wink2: :drunk: Look if they want to up the tax - up the tax for a subway system in cleveland. thats all I :box: I think that type of attitude and the "what about the neighborhoods" talk will come up. However, if the PD and Media outlets all form a media alliance and send the proper message. We should not have a problem.

Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
And until we can get that accomplished, we should have rolling letters to the editor from forumers. Every time we see a particularly incensing article in the PD, someone on Urban Ohio should be responding with a thoughtful, factual response so that we have those voices memorialized ... just make sure these responses are 200 words or less in order to reach their criterion for publication. Screw the PD lets get the cleveland Press going. THere is a guy who owns the press trademark. We control are destiny.

Irish Metro built in 40 months for 1billion euro's
How long is a the bus rapid taking? The Paris metro was inaugurated in 1900 for the World Fair. The man who built it was a well-known engineer and character, Fulgence Beinvenue. He had worked on the railways before being put in charge of the metro. He lost his left arm in a construction accident but he built the first line, 11 kilometres and 18 stations in 20 months. He and his men had no plant and machinery but they built it, no problem. A century later what are the construction companies telling us?

Profesor Melis states this and other in a committie for Irish Transportation. http://www.irlgov.ie/committees-29/c-publicenterprise/20030619-J/Page1.htm Weve got to get this page to every metro nut in cleveland and start harassing these politicians.

Oh the linden tree is such a wonderful tree.Actually its the slovenian national tree, and i think Lausche and Vonoivich both pushed the tree when in power. I was hoping some of those were elms. I know there are blight-resistent elms available now and am surprised I don't see more of them planted. I'm a bit tired of honey locusts, bradford pears, lindens, etc....

Cleveland: Bob Stark Warehouse District Project
left for the day, wont be back untill tommorow afternoon. you must remeber crocker park was a farm not a main street like superior or st clair. Crocker park did not have anyone living within a 50 feet of it. He should be able to solidify two or three tenants this fall with construction to begin in the spring. If he places them correctly with enogh hosuing he should be able to pursue a mini heniens grocery store within his district.
