  1. Nope.I was told a trnasformer blew at the galleria, sometime after the the latinoa show.Could be terrosit related
  2. five to one he already has 2 to 3 major retailiers signed and just have to back fill the rest of the area to fullfill his contract with these big retailers
  3. I am on the board of the slovenian cultural gardens. We anticipate to have another bust up within the next year. We actually mounted are first bust up 5 more feet in the air,to deter robbers. Kinda hard to steal something when its 9 feet in the air.
  4. 40 million dollars for ten turbines.Thats a joke . In slovenia a private partnership put up ten turbines for 10 million dollars and they will be be profitable in about ten years. The state has come up with a ten year tax incentives to lure small investment companies to build these things. Way to many hands in the pot when the goverment build things. Like professor Melis, the main man in the building of spain rail system says, you dont need consultant cunsulting consultants. :shoot: :box: :bang:
  5. I went to Ljubljana via london ..for 2 hours, about 12 years ago.Only cost 100 dollars. THe customs in Cleveland are a sham, and with so many immmigrants, you would think it would be better. Hopefully they get there asses out of the jet engines and put a real customs area together. :? :-o :?  :? :-o :? :-o   :whip:    :banger: :box: :argue: :finger: :type: :bang: :bang2: :behind: :strong:  I miss freenet
  6. Now we need someone who can write this into a law and get this on the ballot. The only way to make it happen.Anyone willing to do a little extra work. Crap like this is why we need a form-based zoning overlay all up and down Euclid. You'd have to build to the sidewalk with some kind of transparent frontage on the ground floor, period. Then we wouldn't need to have this same discussion every time a new project comes up.
  7. THis has silver bullet written all over it. For the Forest City Group. For there stupidity and ignorance, they cast there line for public money. I bet medical mart people are getting a very large discount on rent. ( rent at the higbees is $70,000 per floor per month.) Furthermore 6000 per show only shows me that the old convention center is perfect. at 200 square feet per person more than effecient amount of space. Now if cost per show does cover the 30 year mortgage then build it.
  8. Like having a shorthanded sales staff? Their director of sales, Don Picciano, left in January for another opportunity There is a cutie work there right now, last I have seen.
  9. I do think the website is second nature. Almost everyday there are people in the sales office at the galleria.I would think that the they are not updating the website, because they do not want to discourage anyone from coming to the sales office. :drunk:
  10. Ok I found out what is happening at the galleria. 40,000 square feet is going for dollar bank offices. They get the space on APril 1,and remodeling start after that. Now this is all a secret, only few know right now :yap:
  11. I believe all of this came from the IX center and airport expansion under mike white. What the hell was Mok doing? Hopkins owes $1 billion Posted by jdubail March 19, 2007 13:12PM Cleveland Hopkins International Airport owes $1 billion and is spending half its operating income to pay off the debt, airport Director Ricky Smith told The Plain Dealer today. Meeting with the newspaper's editors and reporters, Smith said he has refinanced $128 million of that debt, which has saved about $15 million, but much more needs to be done to boost revenue. The director, new to the job in July, said the debt has pushed up Hopkins' landing fees, making them the highest in the region and hurting the airport's ability to attract new airlines. Smith said he is putting together a strategic plan for Hopkins. He said he wants to bring in new airlines and launch an aggressive marketing campaign. The director said he is committed to increasing revenues by re-negotiating retail contracts and expanding parking. Smith said he also wants to improve the looks of the airport's terminal and customer services, including taxi service. "It's crucial that the airport runs well, has strong customer service programs and that it's aesthetically pleasing,'' he said. "All I've done is put paint on the walls. I haven't done anything yet."
  12. Just read the irish news papper at the downtown library. Rail being built with a private-public partnership. I think in the relm of 1 billion dollars. Going to put in think 25 to 35 stations. Now how can we build a subway down st clair dual hub. With perhaps an extension down 152 to waterlooo down villaview to 185 and back down lakeshore to connect to the water front line. We calculate 30 million a mile i think 5 to 7 miles down st clair -so about 200 million dollars. By putting a TIF on st clair for any new development. We can raise in the relm of 35 to 70 million dollars. Now when is little joey C going up for relection :shoot: :shoot: :-o :shoot:
  13. Instead of fighting them, lets twist there hands. With every brick road that is taken out,and another brick road should pop up. Every Building above three stories taken down. financing has to be put, zero interest, for a building of the same magnitude to be built somewhere within a 1000 feet of the previous building. (any other ideas) Either we go throu the state assembly or Write are own bill. These are aspect of twisting there hands. In Paris France allot of the highways are capped
  14. If you augment this system with the freight component then cleveland become the midwest hub,and chicago becomes the access hub to the west. Generaly speaking the system would be 60% supported by the rail freight carriers. :-o :-D
  15. Edsiou replied to KJP's post in a topic in Mass Transit
Calabrese Elected by the RTA board. Need to get new board members to elect a rail lover like KJP First thing who are board members? Who is up for appointment to board? Which board member do we tell that there reAppointed is only going to happen if they support someone like KJP and not calabrese. Then we need to bring in Dr Melis the renown Spanish Transit designer to come and take apart the RTA in a public forum.(anyone know anyone in cleveland who would donate the money to bring Dr. Melis in this summer) That all for now 8-)  8-)
  16. I think Cleveland be better as the midwest Hub.Its connection are more fluid :drunk: :whip: :drunk: :whip:
  17. Oh yes Tiffany's -should have used Luxury goods, instead of department store. I bet if the planning was right Toby would love to live in the highest residential builiding in cleveland. Just have to plan it to have atleast 5 residential/office/hotel buildings with a street level shops to attract all of the docotors and patients at the clinic. 105 and euclid would be active  I hate it when a shiek goes out and buys a house in gates mills, when he needs an operation at the clinic. :wtf: :wtf: :x
  18. any one has the plans for the st clair subway, what was suspose to be built in the early part of the past century. danke
  19. Here is a thought ,get the building placed onthe national historical list ,so public funding can not be used. Save the building for a co-op Another thing, there was chat before about 105th and euclid. Any one knows were toby lives. I would love to build a 30 story co-op on the corner, right were the american cancer building. Then right next to it,build a tiffany's department store. Would also love to move the mcdonalds house up cedar hill and place three co op on that property. I wonder if Toby would love to live on the highest apartment in cleveland. Perhaps in a 6000 sq.ft penthouse.
