More parking coming to downtown Diane Smith Record-Courier A former car dealership next to Ravenna's Get Go gas station is being razed to make way for a car wash affiliated with the gas station chain in the Cotton Corners area of Ravenna Township. The Ravenna Planning Commission this week approved plans for Wet Go to move to the site of the former Courtesy car dealership at 1345 E. Main St. in Ravenna. It was most recently used by the nearby Haasz car dealer. Mantua Street Diane Smith Record-Courier A former factory on North Mantua in Kent is being transformed into a mixed use building that will house a coffee roaster, offices and other uses. The Kent Planning Commission recently approved a conditional use permit and site plan for the renovation of a building at 716 N. Mantua St. at the corner of Mantua Street and Cuyahoga Avenue, which will become a mixed-use building with several tenants. The city has been working to plan and design the building for six years. Ravenna's Riddle Block 9 renovation project gets historic preservation tax credits Diane Smith Record-Courier Riddle Block 9, the historic landmark in downtown Ravenna being restored to its former splendor, has received another source of funding, this one from the state. The building at 200 W. Main St. will receive $250,000 in Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits.
