I had a link to the google map location in my post. 😀 I saw it from the council persons newsletter. Planning has already reviewed and given their recommendation. Can't find anything on the developer besides a maintenance worker, Triton Property Ventures, LLC. I don't think it was ever intended to be industrial, but an office park. They have built the two new office buildings in the White Pond Crossings park in roughly the last 5 years. Sikich is adjacent and FE HQ across the street. All surrounded by residential.- Akron: Random Development and News
This is a huge project: The mixed-use center includes 56 apartments. Seven apartments are located on the first floor of buildings A, B, and D. The second floor of Buildings A through C contain additional loft apartments. Building C has apartments on both floors. 336 parking spaces are provided to serve the apartments and neighborhood center retail. Building materials for the mixed-use center include brick, vinyl lap siding, vinyl board and batten siding, and stucco. The developer states that the goal of the mixed-use area is to create an upscale lifestyle shopping center, similar to the First & Main development in Hudson. Went by this today. It is curious. They have a fenced in area with a construction trailer and some pink rigid insulation. Likely poly-iso for underground. So it's either some foundation work or underground vault or something similar. They wouldn't likely bring a trailer for a short term project.- Akron: Downtown: Development and News

Cleveland Bagel Café to replace Starbucks, Brady's Cafe in Kent's Tudor-style building Tawney Beans Akron Beacon Journal A new place to get your caffeine and bagel fix is coming to Kent, and it will be in the city’s historic Tudor-style building. Restaurants like Brady's Cafe and The Robin Hood bar and grill have operated out of the building since it was constructed in the 1920s, making it a landmark in the Kent community. Many people were concerned about what would become of the structure after the Starbucks that previously inhabited it closed in 2021 because of low sales during the pandemic. Kent State University bought the property in 2016, and there had been speculation the building would be demolished. https://www.record-courier.com/story/news/2022/04/16/cleveland-bagel-cafe-replace-starbucks-captain-bradys-may/7332316001/- Canton-Massillon: Random Development and News
