  15. You can easily be tied up for a year or longer with historic tax credits. That's assuming you get approved with your first submittal. If you can build it an lease it a year's worth of rent can go a long way. The good news is that it looks like tax credit allocation in Ohio will double for the next two years. Fingers crossed!

  18. Cordelia to Debut in Former Lola Bistro Space on East 4th Street This Spring By Douglas Trattner As devastating a blow as it was when Michael Symon closed Lola on East 4th Street, seeds of optimism soon began to sprout. Last summer, diners were thrilled to learn that the iconic restaurant space had been leased, but details surrounding the new business have remained a closely guarded secret. Now, partners Andrew Watts and Vinnie Cimino have come out on the record for the first time to discuss Cordelia, a compelling new restaurant that will debut this spring. For 20 years, Watts has been a fixture in the local dining, nightlife and hospitality scene, working in management in dozens of establishments. Cimino, the executive chef and operating partner, worked for Team Sawyer Restaurant Group, including Greenhouse Tavern when that restaurant's chef won the James Beard Award. Cordelia is a homecoming for both Watts and Cimino, as Watts was the general manager of Greenhouse at the same time. https://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/cordelia-to-debut-in-former-lola-bistro-space-on-east-4th-street-this-spring/Content?oid=38488584 I'm excited for this one. 🥳

Akron Civic Theatre plans March groundbreaking for new outdoor deck Updated: Feb. 22, 2022, 10:42 a.m. | Published: Feb. 22, 2022, 9:39 a.m. By Megan Becka, special to cleveland.com AKRON, Ohio –- The Akron Civic Theatre will break ground in March on a new outdoor deck thanks to support from PNC Bank. The 1,100 square foot deck will be named PNC Plaza, according to Val Renner, associate director of programming, media and marketing for the theatre. PNC Plaza will be located on the theatre’s south facing wall off of South Main Street. The space is part of the theatre’s Staging the Future capital project and includes a new outdoor video screen and a commissioned mural by artist Scot Phillips. Phillips will work with the theatre and local PNC employees to choose the mural artwork. https://www.cleveland.com/akron/2022/02/akron-civic-theatre-plans-march-groundbreaking-for-new-outdoor-deck.html This doesn't say anything about the park. But it does say this: "Starting next summer PNC will host events in the space, among them:" This is either a grammatical error or there won't be anything held there this summer because of construction. Currently Lock 3 doesn't have anything on their calendar past March.
