Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
As long as the demand for downtown living continues at the current pace, it wouldn't be a problem unless they charged too much.

I would like to know the reasoning behind removing the boulevard in front of 401 Lofts. It was nothing spectacular, pretty brutal when you actually stop to look at it, but it still added plantings to the urban space. removed: remaining in front of Canal Place & GOJO:

bruell's new burger shack dynomite debuts in star plaza at playhousesquare Thursday, August 08, 2013 Zack Bruell used to watch PlayhouseSquare office workers sit outside at Star Plaza and eat sandwiches in the park. He thought, They could be my customers. Now, thanks to Dynomite, a new fast-casual burger shack in the Star Plaza kiosk, many of them are. During its first week, Dynomite frequently had lines 30-people deep and ran out of hamburger buns by 3 p.m. (don't worry, they ordered more). Bruell hopes this is an omen. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/dynomite080813.aspx

University Park Alliance receives $75,000 grant from Chase for housing stock improvements By Betty Lin-Fisher Beacon Journal business writer Published: August 5, 2013 - 11:29 PM The University Park Alliance — which is refocusing its operation after losing its major funding — on Monday received a $75,000 grant from JPMorgan Chase. The new funding comes after the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation canceled the nonprofit organization’s $6 million grant on Friday and an accompanying $1.8 million low-interest loan. The reason was because real estate directives in the original grant were not met. The Knight Foundation did grant UPA, which is working on redevelopment of 50 city blocks around the University of Akron, a $500,000 grant to help with its finances through January. The Miami-based foundation also invited UPA to reapply for new grants. http://www.ohio.com/business/university-park-alliance-receives-75-000-grant-from-chase-for-housing-stock-improvements-1.418924

No Change In Wal Mart, Copley Township Plans Written by Larry States Wal-Mart and Copley Township officials say there will be no change in a plan to bring a Wal-Mart and Sams Club to Rothrock Road, despite a judge's ruling to basically turn the road into a cul-de-sac, allowing Fairlawn to block it off from being a through street. Copley Township trustee Helen Humphrys tells AkronNewsNow " There are no alterations to their plan because the access to the future Wal-Mart, Sams Club can be made fro State Route 18 on to State Route 21." http://www.akronnewsnow.com/news/local/item/97885-no-change-in-wal-mart-copley-township-plans

Quiet down Ohio City traffic: letter to the editor As a 10-year resident and business owner in Ohio City, I've been excited to watch the neighborhood improve in so many ways. Recent news of many imminent residential projects will add much-needed housing units. With improvement on so many important fronts, it's time we improved the problem of noise pollution. http://blog.cleveland.com/letters/2013/07/quiet_down_ohio_city_traffic_l.html

We are commenting on their design work, not their planning. I think people would be more excited if they were hired as a hospitality consultant and were teamed with a design firm.

We're missing the point of adding the roof here. It's not for the possibility of closing it for 3-5 games (days) a year, it's for scheduling other events, concerts, etc... Right now they can't do that from about the beginning of Oct. - end of April. That's 6-7 months of possible revenue lost.

Some advantage. Since we are 72-147 since the return, I'll take are chances with a dome.
