Hey guys. A friend and I will be visiting Cincy one weekend next month. We will both be attending UC next year as undergrads. What, in your opinion, are the essential places we should check out. Please keep in mind that I am looking more to see cool neighborhoods, shopping areas, etc around campus - places and things that will directly effect me as a student living in Cincinnati. I believe we will be staying at a Hampton Inn either in Covington or in Blue Ash. We still have yet to make that decision. Thanks!

agreed! VERY unprofessional....almost whiny. plus, that could seriously mess things up if this becomes a legal battle.

lol, I though the same thing when I read this. to be quite honest, I would not have any problem patronizing the new establishment, they did nothing to personally offend me...who knows, their new concept may indeed be better and more profitable than what alchemize was doing. Sadly, the nightclub industry is a VERY fast paced, cutthroat, even dishonest one, and I'd hope Nick would have seen that from the start...it is just the way it is.

I recently spoke with a friend who works at Beachwood Place. He told me all about the new developments that are in process now, even though hardly anything has been publically announced. CONFIRMED to open: New relocated COACH store MANOLO BLAHNIK (not publically announced yet) New relocated SEPHORA store LUSH (luxury bath products) also, Abercrombie & Fitch corporate has been exploring the mall for a possible abercrombie kids, RUEHLno925, or Hollister Co. finally, there has been much speculation about an FCUK and/or Armani Exchange opening as well. nothing has been confirmed, but both companies have explored the mall for possible locations.

yeah, I'm very excited to see the Cincy to Cbus route!!! Next year I can go up to see my friends at OSU and go shopping at Easton on the weekends, woohoo!

Megabus now goes direct from Cleveland to Pittsburgh! The times are convenient too! Actually, they added a whole bunch of cities like Ann Arbor and Louisville. Columbus is back on as well! woohoo! :clap:

...which is still cheaper than Greyhound. I have regularly gotten the $2.50 r/t fare...you just gotta check the site everyday and grab them as soon as they put them up.

is there a website or phone number? also, is there an actual station or shelter or something...or does it just leave from the curb like megabus???

I saw this mentioned in another thread awhile back, but I don't believe the conversation went anywhere. Has anyone taken/seen/etc this bus? I seriously hope this is happening. Having not only Megabus to Chicago, but now NYC would be amazing. Air travel is such a pain and these destinations are so close it is almost not worth flying. Please give me the 411!

oh for sure. TJ's is a store that people drive/commute for. Before there was one of the west side of Cleveland, people would drive 45-60 mins to get to the one on the east side because of their exclusive foods and wines. plus the prices are what's up.

There is so much vacant space downtown. For example, the old Higbee's building would make an excellent big-box store.

is there an approximate timeframe until we might see these streetcars? also, will these actually be embedded in the street on a track, or will they just be circulator busses?

did some research and looks like that place is gone... random question: does anyone know when Crowne Plaza dumped their DT Cincy hotel, the one that is now the Terrace Plaza or whatever. It was across from where we stayed and it looked like a big, scary dump.

Metropolis looks trashy, and it looks like the Exchange only plays Hip-Hop, which I am not a fan of to say the least... where is the techno/trance/house? lol. Adonis probably. good to know about that shuttle though! thanks for the info

Adonis is 18+ with a cover....I just checked. That place looks pretty decent and I've heard it is moreso a mixed crowd than exclusively gay, which is great. The Exchange is 18+? what is their website url...?

I'm 18. I live in the east-side suburbs, out by Chagrin Falls. We also have a house in University Heights.
