Black and green UO is the best!

Let's not abandon that "scratch and sniff" logo idea so quickly. Think of the possibilities!!!

Why is this thread on here? It is causing me to do bad things. Talk about subliminal I just had to have KFC for dinner last night. Three hours on the treadmill right down the drain. And -- I did vote for KFC biscuits but my real choice isn't listed --- Bob Evans is the best. They stick to your ribs for weeks!

Isn't there a thread on here with all of the skylines combined? You could run it as a ribbon across the bottom of the logo -- or maybe like a beauty contest sash across the image of the state. Sort of like Miss Ohio without the cleavage.

    I like number 2
  6. Maybe the Rock Hall should "partner" with some other venue such as Geauga Lake, Playhouse Square, or some other group to offer a "Cleveland Get-Away Package".
  7. I think Crain's also had an article about the condo conversion, but of course that was published LONG after the Sun's articles! :-D See... http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=1684.msg157461#msg157461 http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=1684.msg157611#msg157611 KJP -- thank you as well. I had seen those articles just wondered if there is any updated news.
  8. Thanks Jim!!! Hope to meet you sometime soon!
  9. Happy to report that they have started digging our single family home on W 76. The one next to us is sold as well. Of course, with the rain they currently appear to be some very expensive SWAMPS! Does anyone know if there is a thread or any additional information on the Pat Catan's building on W 76? I think it is supposed to being developed into condos called Stone Water but I can't find anything other than some news articles in the Sun newspapers. Thanks!

If it has your name on it, it must be yours! Didn't IKEA decide not to go there due to some controversy about taxes or something? I hate the fact that the closest one is in Detroit or Pittsburgh. I actually enjoy the 5 hour trip to Toronto for a long weekend and making IKEA stops along the way.

So now we finally see the missing mayor?

You may also want to try the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. I'm not sure about what rental properties are available but lots of for sale and new development. It is covered under other threads here under Batter Park (new development), Gordon Square (arts district) and Detroit Shoreway. You could contact the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Corporation for information. I work in the Strongsville/Brunswick area which is south of the airport area where you will be. For me it is a 35 minute commute but yours would not be as long, I don't believe.
  13. No, I don't think we are too negative. We recognize that there are problems, the biggest of which is apathy. Too few of us get involved, volunteer, support the arts, vote for school tax increases or try to appreciate diversity. I think we cross the line when we move from being critical and look at addressing things in an honest and open manner to being cynical while thinking it is someone elses problem to fix. It is ours, be negative if you want, but step up to the plate of change.

I'm sorry dear, you do have fabulous skin! Earlier today, I embarked on a day trip to Brooklyn, where I went to a Garage House party entitled Kiss My Black A$$ in Fort Green park [i'll post pictures later] and there were quite a few man black, white, Latino and Asian men with bald heads. jmjr and mayday there was lots of eye candy! lol  the party goes until 2 AM. You want to single handily bring back 70's pork chop side burns, huh? I think anyone who is balding should just suck it up and do the "Trump Comb-over"! LMAO. Ahhhh!! It's Monday morning and I missed that party unit 2:00 AM. Another one soon?

I'm with May Day --- bald head + goatee = :-D Makes me want to :wink2: and get all
  16. I noticed new signs that financing for the project is through Key Bank. I thought National City was involved. Is this a change?
  17. what is the new name of the restaurant that used to be Le Oui Oui Cafe in Ohio city? Is there a web site? Phone number? Thanks!
  18. trying to remember -- what is the new name of Oui Oui Cafe (probably misspelled -- the crepe restaurant in OC)?
  19. Unbelievable! That close to the ball park, the Gund, and a hotel right smack in the middle of it all! If I were those business/park owners I would be ALL OVER somebody until the lights were shining like the sun! Maybe it's an evil twisted plot to force you to use the valet services?
  20. Shes says yes, that's probably why her arms hurt today. You have a great sense of humor! I appreciate that in a person!
  21. It could be the construction issue but the lights look relatively new but with that design style so that they look like the old gas lights/lanterns
  22. We were along the rail facing the stage on the first floor. Great seats and I'm sure we saw her. She was the one with her hands high in the air clapping, right?
  23. We went to Erasure at House of Blues last night. Parked at the garage on Prospect and East 6th. What's going on with the street lights in that area? The Marriott Residence Inn is right there, Colonial Arcade, and Prospect meets with E 9th. If I was a guest at the hotel I would be hesitant about even considering walking outside. The lights are there, just not on!
  24. I do feel for people who have been displaced with the U-scan but I think it is in part due to a shrinking labor market. I don't mind the U-scan line. I like to bag my items the way I want them and I'm pretty adept at the whole checkout thing. What I cannot stand are parents who think the thing is a damn toy and let the kid stand there and scan stuff. One item, okay. The whole friggin' cart of munchies? Oh no. Ooohhhhh, noooooooo! If you want your kid to become techno savvy buy the little dear a computer. Don't worry, he'll learn to surf porn at work just like daddy in no time!

Can't say that I know Cinci much as I live in Cleveland. I do travel to Cinci on business a lot at the hospitals. Always stay at the Vernon Manor. That is the coolest hotel, great rooms, lots of history, and great service and food. Lots of celebrities have stayed there over the years and if you are there for an extended stay they have suites with kitchenettes. Since I am always there on business and not night life or tourist stuff I have no clue where the hotel is in relation to things to do but it is a great place to stay!
