  1. Agreed but it does sell - under the influence straight boys will pay a million$$$ for a burger. :)
  2. Min Anh is great. Phnom penh - up and down. I like the Salad Phnom Penh but the food sometimes is a large portion of noodles - not much protein for the price. Always good but cost per portion?
  3. Constantinos for sure for grocery supplies.
  4. Okay, call me stupid or at best uninformed --- what restaurant in Battery Park?

I agree, definitely under served. A big vacant building now. I love the West Side Market, but.... Could a Whole Foods find a home in this vacant space? It is too big for a CVS or Walgreens but Whole Foods could fill a niche for packaged goods that WSM doesn't serve. Barring that -- maybe a Marc's?
  6. Very good. Not sure who or what "Rey" is.
  7. Saw some architects and construction folks in and out of the warehouse building earlier this week.
  8. You a funny man. No more than the luxury townhomes just to the east along Father Caruso Drive. In Berea I lived next to same tracks, plus a second busy line that came through, plus SR237, plus Hopkins' south approach to the old north-south runway. After a few days I didn't notice the noise anymore. In fact when I went to house-sit for my parents out in Aurora, I had to turn on a TV with the volume up so I could fall asleep. I've been living roughly 100 feet from the tracks on Father Caruso at 69th for 15 years now. The first night I took the keys to the house it was a gorgeous April evening so I slept with the window open. About an hour later I was hammered out of a sound sleep by the sound of a freight train coming through that sounded, well, ... like a feight train coming through. I closed the window and went to sleep. After that I slept with the windows closed and had no problem. We recently had our North facing windows and doors replaced (they take a lot of weather) and went with triple pane which has cut the noise. Now train noise is only a problem if windows or open or, the most common, if partying on the deck. Oh, and you can't even hear the Shoreway at all. The unobstructed lake, park and marina views by far outweight any down side of noise. We live on W 76 and you just get used to the noise. I grew up near trains so it was like coming home! You can't beat the views and walking to the lake.
  9. Beats the nasty carpet still found in other concourses.
  10. Yes. It looks like a shack but the food is made fresh and is Rey good. It is family owned.
  11. If you like Greek food try the place in Detroit Shoreway. Really good food.

Seriously?? This Azz as a thread?
  14. Consider Battery Park. There are some rentals or if you want to buy - affordable.
  15. Commence head explosion... I just noticed 5 Guys in Steelyard -- am I blind -- has it alwys been there? In any case, glad it is!!!
  16. Not everyone likes to gamble. Not everyone likes "Dollar-Rama" nor can everyone afford Saks I too would love to see a flagship store there and stores along all those same streets. However, it is just NOT going to happen at this point. Do something to create a draw first then court the flagship store. Just expressing an opinion.
  17. And as we look at that new century let's keep in mind that advances in technology make telecommuting a reasonable alternative for many jobs. This too can and will decrease the number of people who need to utilize any roadway.
  18. With that in mind then perhaps the funding should be used to expand Route 2 and four lanes of higher speed traffic right through all the homes along Edgewater and The Gold Coast. Bulldoze the high rises and lake front homes so that the all important major traffic route be preserved. After all I-90 is so far away and the millions of dollars being spent on the bridges surely won't satisfy the masses.
  19. I'm not trying to call anyone out on their financial status, but it gets to my point, we're asking for stores/business in Downtown Cleveland/TC for what exact reason? Just because some other city has them? We all know that some cities are subsidizing retail outlets. Just to say we have them? I would love to have Prada, Gucci, YSL, Ungaro, Burbery, etc. BUT.....Why have these stores, if people cannot afford or want to shop at them? Its the same thing as certain OU crying for skyscrapers, knowing we don't the occupancy level to warrant new commercial towers nor people willing to pay an upmarket residential price point without the amenities in Downtown. For those ripping TC for having not so special stores, talk! If TC want to evolve with the rest of downtown, I firmly believe they will need a mall manager or at-least bring in a team of people that have previous mall management experience to solely run TC. I agree. The stores need to be something that have both an attraction factor for people coming to the casino or the convention center AND an every day attraction for people who live in the city and nearby neighborhoods to go to for routine purchases.
  20. That's a bit heavy on the stereotyping. Have you been to a casino? There's usually a sizable upscale contingent along with the little old ladies. And retail attached to casinos is usually more upscale than what's at Tower City right now. Ideally, yes. That's why I'm not sure this "outlet" plan is really the way to go. Downtown Cleveland should not be trying to emulate Lodi or Grove City. I think an outlet sort of mall would be another draw to the area. "Higher end" sort of place - not the usual Gap outlet strip mall sorts of stores.
  21. Glad to hear that. I am excited too. I still want a good Italian restaurant in the hood too!
  22. Fantastic! No one comes here let alone move here if crime isn't controlled.
  23. Any information on volunteering for the event?
