Lakefront vision to be unveiled July 27 By Ken Prendergast / July 18, 2023 Although the downtown lakefront plans to be released publicly on July 27 will be preliminary, they will give more insight into the direction city officials received from prior public input sessions on developing the city’s “front porch” as officials call the city’s Lake Erie waterfront. And since these plans are still preliminary and conceptual, city officials said they want more public input on them before refining them and adding more design details to them. Couldn't they use stop sticks? Or follow the punks (not chase) to see where they go? Seeing them driving around that like that makes me furious. With my temper, it's why I don't carry a gun.- Cleveland: Random Development and News
We marvel at Vancouver, BC's skyline. Yet downtown Cleveland has more square footage of office space while charging rents that are half of Vancouver's average per square foot. Where Vancouver clobbers us is in downtown population. Theirs is more than twice that of downtown Cleveland’s.- Cleveland: Downtown: Ten60 Bolivar Apartments

GOLDMAN: "We are cutting our probability that a US recession will start in the next 12 months further from 25% to 20% .. far below the 54% median .. the recent data have reinforced our confidence that bringing inflation down to an acceptable level will not require a recession... "There are strong fundamental reasons to expect ongoing #disinflation. Used car prices are sliding .. rent inflation still has a long way to fall before it catches up with the message from median asking rents, and the labor market has continued to rebalance."- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

Jeans have been fashionable since the 1970s. Remember Jordache? Anyway, there's something more than just community design keeping kids indoors. My son is growing up in a streetcar suburb where we can walk to just about everything. But we walk together. When my 10-year-old son wants to go to the park to meet his best friend, they want us parents to take them there. The park is one block away!- New York City: Transit News

I thought it was too. But Google maps say Glenville is north of St. Clair here, east of East 72nd. St. Clair-Superior is south of St. Clair, east to between East 78h-79th. To me, the blades look out of place. But I usually don't criticize architectural designs because they are art -- unless they violate principles of urbanism such as offering a street presence, pedestrianism, interaction with surroundings, etc.- Cleveland: Glenville: Development and News

I'd like to see that building on the northeast corner of Euclid and 105 be replaced. If I recall, the zoning allows for a 20+ story building there. Then we address the NW corner, then fill in the SW and SE corners up to the sidewalks. Bring back downtown #2, Doans Corners! - Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
