Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
That's assuming this is the site. Yes, Dimit was the architect for One University Circle, but I asked Mitch Schneider last week if Two University Circle is in the works and he said no.

I was also thinking about that. One block to the east and the SHW tower is playing peekaboo on Euclid.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Yes, even though it would result in a greater economic impact loss to the cuty of Cleveland than the Browns going to Brook Park. We're talking more than 1,000 well-paid workers.

What may follow St. Vincent’s demolition? By Ken Prendergast / November 12, 2024 Turns out there is more to the story that NEOtrans broke over the weekend — that St. Vincent Charity Community Health Center (SVCCHC) main campus, 2351 E. 22nd St., at the west end of Cleveland’s Central neighborhood, will be demolished in the coming months. Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Only four teams in the West are below .500. Cavs have played nine of its 12 games against the East so far. Maybe the East isn't winning as much because the Cavs are in it?? Yeah that's my story and I'm sticking to it! 😎

I haven't gotten used to that view after 35 years of staring down Euclid Avenue toward the void at the end. I love it. But just can't get used to it. It's jarring to me.

A place to build another soul-crushing suburban housing division with a fast-food chain or two, where you have to put on your car every morning to accomplish everything.

Cleveland: Campus District
Not the hospital site by itself but if added to the Juvenile Justice Center and Olde Cedar (31 acres +/-), it would be. But the optics of tearing down public housing for a billionaire's playhouse might just ignite the revolution against the oligarchs that simmers just below the surface in America.

This is pretty cool. I just realized we don't have an historic presidency thread. Might be an interesting discussion. This is what they might look like today....

St. Vincent Charity Medical Center to be demolished By Ken Prendergast / November 10, 2024 In just three years, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, 2351 E. 22nd St,, went from planning a major expansion to requesting the demolition of nearly its entire main campus to the southeast of Downtown Cleveland. Plans were submitted to the city’s Building Department on Friday for demolishing all but 18,000 square feet of the 449,338-square-foot campus. Cleveland: Shaker Square: Development and News
More changes arriving at Shaker Square By Ken Prendergast / November 9, 2024 While a large federal grant was awarded to improve existing conditions at Shaker Square in Cleveland, plans to make long-term changes that reenergize the 95-year-old square are advancing. The short- and long-term work on the square is based on the belief that this historic district can and should be a neighborhood gathering spot rather than try to compete as a regional retail draw. Browns’ Berea District 46 plans coming into focus By Ken Prendergast / November 8, 2024 In a public record secured by NEOtrans, more details are coming to light about the owner of the Cleveland Browns, the Haslam Sports Group’s (HSG), proposed mixed-use development in suburban Berea. That includes specifications for the features in the new 500,000-square-foot development which will be built around a small, new sports stadium, dubbed a community field. https://neo-trans.blog/2024/11/08/browns-berea-district-46-plans-coming-into-focus/

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
Yes, the site plan shows the existing building demolished. Some of the renderings show the existing building still standing, but that's due to laziness on the part of Dimit. Those renderings also show utility poles in the foreground disappearing behind the proposed building in the background. I expect better from Dimit. Hopefully they're spending more time on their next big project. 😉
