I've seen quite a few units and it's great to see in Cleveland. However, the building is a little too modern for my tastes. The lobby and halls are pretty sterile. Great workout room. Nice outdoor area off main lobby but the pink pavers probably weren't the best color choice. The units on the west side of the sixth floor have the best terraces in Cleveland... very large, offering an outdoor living room. Not sure why those units didn't go faster... other than potential for views to be blocked down road, who knows?
  2. Good question... thinking about the plans I saw I thought the garage entrance and exit for the residents was to be across from the Firestone / parking garage on north side of development? I don't remember seeing other parking garage entrance and exits. Noticed a few new pics on their blog.
  3. Those are some great pics. Does anybody know when they're going to install the live web camera so we can keep up with the progress?
  4. I'm surprised none of the Cleveland threads have mention of Mayor Jackson's new tax abatement proposal - 7 years for new construction and 12 years for construction meeting LEED standards. I think this still has to go to City Council. I'd hate to see momentum grind to a halt. Regarding The Avenue, was by the parking lot at E. 12 and St Clair and the parking lot is still be used as a parking lot. I wonder what's holding things up? Definitely no excavation work going on.
  5. Copied this from the Cleveland thread... Aiding strip club move part of helping homeless Wednesday, April 04, 2007 Susan Vinella Plain Dealer Reporter Cleveland taxpayers are likely to pay to find a new home for a strip club. City officials said Tuesday they are proposing to move the "Stage 2" club as part of a plan to convert a motel at 1550 Superior Ave. into transitional quarters for homeless men who are working. "Some people may raise their eyebrows about the city helping this strip club relocate," said City Councilman Joe Cimperman. "But we're taking 80 people off the street so they don't freeze to death. You do the moral math." More at cleveland.com http://www.cleveland.com
  6. Thanks FrqntFlyr. This is a great board with tons of info. I can't believe how fast the facts and the rumors make it to this board. Great for keeping up on downtown.
  7. Went by the parking lot on corner of E. 12 St. and St. Clair and the parking lot is still being used. I thought they were supposed to have shut the parking lot on Feb. 15 so they could start bringing in construction equipment? Has the cold weather and snow slowed things down?
