Cleveland: 2014 Gay Games IX News & Discussion
I'll third that concern. I've seen more local advertising and coverage on the new MetroPark lakefront park events than the GGIX. So is Cleveland post-Gay-borhood? I don't think this is a situation unique to Cleveland. I know I have seen several articles about the loss of culture in Gay strongholds such as Castro in SF.

Cleveland: 2014 Gay Games IX News & Discussion
Not really. Highly tolerant, but not anywhere close to a "Gay-Borhood". I lived in German Village and Victorian Village in Columbus 10 years ago before moving up here. I always found it laughable when people say how "Gay" Lakewood is.

It's 1 dollar bills if you look closely and the middle of the stack isn't even green. Looks like a well posed photo to me.

Is it time for Lindor? I know for years people have said that A Cab's numbers didn't reflect how good he actually is, but I think he just makes the routine plays look hard.

76 Errors....76 errors. Chis and A Cab have 27 between the two of them....that's going to kill your Run Differential. Edit: I hate to pile on A Cab but he's batting .048 with 2 outs and runners in scoring position. He's been there 42 times. That's a lot of stranded runners. Really? I am not sure how I feel about it. I am optimistic if they can can get the errors under control. As horrible the fielding has been its amazing they are even at the break. I have pretty much convinced my self that Masterson has been trying to pitch through injury because it was a contract year. Hopefully he stays on the DL long enough to heal up and didn't develop any bad habits that need to be broken. Interesting fact Cabbrera is 2 for 42 when bases are loaded with 2 outs. He was in that situation twice on Sunday.

^Can't you implement a fine for these paragraphs? "Cleveland has not captured a title in a major sport since the Browns in 1964. The city has been plagued by economic turmoil. The population fell to its lowest point since 1900. Professionals of all vocations took their talents elsewhere. James made clear his homecoming is inspired by the region as much as the franchise. He is one native, perhaps the most gifted of all, reinvesting in the old neighborhood."

.500 at the break. Do they have a run in them?

I agree It was an interesting take by Kareem. Personally, I'll welcome him back and embrace him but until the Cavs win it all (and possibly afterwards) I am going to keep my distance emotionally and keep one eye on the door waiting for him to bolt. What was unfathomable before the decision is now lurking under the surface of everything. Of course if we win on HOB trophy, I'll love the guy forever, because it bigger than the NBA, it will be about breaking the curse and opening the floodgates of championships (I am hoping)!

Mean Streak would be my guess. Help boost ridership and get visitors to the back of the park. The other rides would require change of paint colors IMO. Good call

"My presence can make a difference in Miami, but I think it can mean more where I’m from. I want kids in Northeast Ohio, like the hundreds of Akron third-graders I sponsor through my foundation, to realize that there’s no better place to grow up. Maybe some of them will come home after college and start a family or open a business. That would make me smile." That comment makes me smile...

^ That letter was about everything I could have asked for except for a call out to Z. On a side note, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Dustin Fox's celebration on 92.3, he may not always be the best broadcaster but damn he is truly one of us as fan.

^ You mean like this A$$hat? I love the LeBron apologists in the comments stating that he had no blame and the "Decision" was all Hunky Dory and Dan Gilbert over reacted for no reason. For the record, Gilbert overreacted... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11194890/how-lebron-james-play-dan-gilbert

^ My point above was that the only reason that 90% of the people were there was because they heard that they had called in extra security from the PD. Very self fulfilling announcement. I wonder if he got cold feet after seeing the frenzy this town was worked up into, and is now delaying to soften the blow?

I think it would have been reasonable to make an announcement within 24 hours of meeting with Pat Reilly, what has changed since then? Now this just dragging it out.Pull the band-aid off for crissakes, it's going to hurt somebody no matter when it is.

^i am Channelling my inner George Costanza here, as a bald man he's only got 2 or 3 years left until that receding hairline becomes a real issue. He just trying to make the most of the time he's got left. You you rather spend you nights with big sweaty guys that will keep you from being smashed on the field, or 3 off duty Hooters waitresses, who know your famous but not really sure why.
