Ahh, at least I don't have to worry about the Browns losing this weekend...Love the bye week, it's like a mini-vacation from the misery of being a Browns fan.

Happy birthday UO! I would just like to extend a thanks to all of the mods and Admins that work hard to keep these forums civil and mostly on topic places. And thanks to Mapboy (aka Mr. Good day) for telling me about the site. I love knowing everything that is going on around the state. Apparently I have only been a member since March of '07, I wonder what i used to do at work all day?

I prefer to call coffee ,my cruel mistress. I love it so much but it does such bad things to me....such as "death breath", shiny yellow teeth and yes hourly trips to the Men's room...

File this under for what it's worth. So I have modified my caffiene intake to that of a normal human. One cup of regular in the morning and decaf the rest of the day (down from 3 or 4 big travel mugs, plus a cup around 7:30 at night). What is really scary is how much better that I feel. I just decided when I went to get a refill for my second cup of the day last monday that I would get a decaf, and whenI didn't fall off my chair I decided to keep drinking decaf for the rest of the day. So far so good. I have found that I am actually less tired at night, although when I get tired I now fall right asleep.

The way that Acorsi is denying any involvement sounds like that might be happening.

I think there are two big reasons this passed this time, and I don't think the recession is one of them, although it definitely played a part. To start, this was the first proposal that was brought to the ballot in off cycle election. The Issue 3 people could concentrate on getting their supporters to the polls and not have to worry about the people who generally only vote in "major" elections and who would vote against Issue 3 to be safe because the don't have strong feelings either way. The second point is politically they played this beautifully, get strong support 2 of 3 the major cities, throw a bone to Toledo, Columbus voted against it but not nearly by the margins that it passed in greater Cleveland (see point 1). They basically rode the big margins. Yes the jobs promise swayed some people but the bigger reason that it passed was the well organized and thought out campaign. EDIT: Actually hearing DocBrocs comments on St. Louis, it may be a blessing that this is limited to 4 casinos.

no internet on my phone I am too cheap, I have an ipod touch and generally I have wifi, except for right at my desk (although I am moving to window cube next week so I will be on then) besides UO forums is not the friendliest thing to view on a small screen.

    A 10.5 QB rating.
  17. yeah somebody covered that about a month ago, maybe in the retailling thread. I think the concensus was it was more a having two starbucks 500 ft apart issue than a state of business at SYC. As far as the tent at Alcoa, I'll ask my dad this weekend. They are one of his customers and he usually knows what is goingon there.

Yeah, I noticed that KG was extremely slow to get up. I know the one time that he was on the floor under the net and was slow to get up the TV cameras mic'd him and he was semi-angrliy shouting, "I am OK, I am OK" to somebody as if he was hurting but was to proud to admit it.
  19. Well if it makes it, I can't wait for the episode where one of the main characters discovers she has gained 10 lbs from eating pirogies and then discovers the joy of hiding one's winter fat under a sweater. :-D :-D

It was the Lakewood Elk's Lodge back in the day, but I think even before that it was a built for a social club of some sort. I believe it was a tennis club at some point and the area behind it that is now the Giant Eagle parking lot was were the courts were. Either way it is an awesome building...

That's it? I never understood why that album never caught on. I just heard 'Hey Ladies' on satellite radio the other day...still a great song! Paul's Boutique is hands down my favorite Beastie Boys album, I just think given the huge departure it was from License To Ill and the general lack of support it had from Capital Records killed it commercially.

I used to be an "old" radiohead guy but I think now I am leaning towards the newer stuff. I loved In Rainbows and I started listening to some concerts. Hearing them play the music live really changed my opinion of it. Although "The Bends" is a classic. My brother and I were talking about how a lot of people think U2 is overrated, but they have never put out a bad album. Even most of Pop is good. They have that whole fun U2 (zooropa, zoo TV tour) /serious U2 thing going though. I think that may turn some fans off.

OK I will confess, that I still catch myself using the wrong version of there/their/they're when I go back and proofread what I typed. I think that this has a ton to do with my poor typing skills, but if I am catching it, I guess that it does mean that I am aware. Regarding loud talking and ipods, OC is there anything you don't have a conspiracy theory for? Put the tin foil hat down my friend, put it down.

The mister became a Browns fan to spite his family (who were all Steelers fans as they lived in Pittsburgh and then moved to southeastern Ohio). Mind you, he was a child when he decided to do this! SE Ohio is still Steelers Country, maybe some Bengals. I appluad Mr. Broccoli that took some guts!
