  1. ^there isn't a USA Today cover jinx like SI, is there? I hate seeing LeBron on there before he signs on the dotted line. All in all it's good press, although I do dislike the comeback moniker, I'd prefer Rising or Reborn, etc. And to quote LL Cool J: Don't call it a comeback I been here for years Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear Makin the tears rain down like a MON-soon Listen to the bass go BOOM Explosion, overpowerin Over the competition, I'm towerin

^hahaha. I do think that LeBron has a level of normalcy living here that he wouldn't find anywhere else in the country. His kids can go to a public or regular parochial school, not some secured private school. He can move about town in Akron with out being completely mobbed. I am not sure what that means to him, but I think it means a lot to his wife. The way he talks he wants his boys to have the stable childhood he never had,

I saw my first "return of the king" Grafitti from the shoreway this afternoon on top of one of the buildings by Stonebridge on the West Bank.
  4. ^ if we drop the "just", I kind of like. A nice campaign along these lines.or heck maybe even keep the just. Cleveland is not the Mistake By the Lake. Or the little Detroit. or the next' Portland. Or the 'new' Brooklyn. Or ...etc etc.. Cleveland is Just Cleveland, no adjective required.

^ I really don't understand the NFLs policy of no contact with the team while a players suspended. It should be limited to football activities either on or off the field. The teams have made an investment in the player and should be able to try and help the player.

Sounds like he is equal parts dumb behavior and unlucky. That BAC at 3 AM to me sounds like somebody that had some drinks during the firework/etc and the stopped for a few hours before driving home. Either that or somebody who was drinking slow enough that he didn't think he was over the limit. Either way Not really the behavior of somebody out of control. Josh is apparently a really sh!tty driver.

Cleveland Question: Are they grazing sheep on the patch of grass next to Quay 55? Did anybody else see this? Am I crazy? Wait don't answer the crazy part. I know the answer.

I got to watch most of the game with the Cleveland Outlaws at Merry Arts in Lakewood. It was boisterous crowd for a noon weekday game. Both bars were elbow to elbow, and the patio was mostly full. They had both games on. A lot of guys saying, "I can't believe I am rooting for that F*** Ronaldo!".
  12. ^When you file a lawsuit seeking unrealistic damages, how can that be taken seriously and how does it come across as anything but publicity whoring? Especially in light of the recent Patent Office's ruling on the Redskins? Wouldn't the cause be better served by a justifiable position of changing the name and damages that are financially achievable? The team for sale is worth only between a 1/2B and 1B. Most estimates say they earn around $20M a year, and that is with revenue sharing. $9B in damages?
  13. Looking Dapper Don as usual... Congratulations on being profiled.

Edit: crap, I thought I was in NBA Discussion.carry on. I say Parker is the safe bet. You can teach defense, and a combination starting/ coming off the bench of Kyrie, Waiters and Parker would be worth about 50-60 PTs a game. The Heat tried to rest Wade for the playoffs this year and he still fell apart by the finals. He may have one or two good runs left in him but I can't see depending on him as the nucleus of a team.
  15. Well that is certainly good news, even if it's nothing concrete at the moment. In my dreams I would love for a CLE company to merge and move the HQ here for once.
  16. ^bahahaha... Or to drive off a cliff with Gina Davis...

Personally, I irrationally hated Chipper Jones and his blond wife they showed constantly... Speaking of the Braves...stay classy Cobb County http://deadspin.com/opponents-barred-from-speaking-as-cobb-county-approves-1582556255

The Braves are one of the oldest MLB franchises, and have been in Atlanta for almost 50 years. Not exactly an expansion team.
  19. Much better. Not perfect but better.

Better than Braylon? Trying to quantify that makes my head feel like it's going to explode... Edit: I also realized it made me sad.

  23. That one was converted into Class A/high B office space about 10 years ago by a scrap broker. Crap hit the fan in 08, dude did a sell-lease back for an influx of capital for way too much money and then went bankrupt. Owner is hellbent on getting his money back. It's been vacant almost 5 years. As far as that corner goes, let's get it done right. That corner has a dense neighborhood and a lot of wealth that commutes by it daily. It should be able to support pretty much anything.

Razor scooter! Or maybe a long board. You'd be the coolest mom...oh, wait you already are.
  25. It hasn't. It was about 80/20 team/city. Edit: my bad 75/25...
