^ and the complete lack of depth that we have at CB, too. Skreen has come a long long long way. He'll be a nice complement to Haden and Gilbert.

NBA: General News & Discussion
I think the part of this that made this an easy decision for Silver is that the clippers are a valuable franchise right now. He won't have to deal with the worry of the league having to take over the team like New Orleans. Some one will buy the team, pay Sterling handsomely. Problem solved. .

Favorite Music At The Moment?
^ You're still thinking about music in the old terms. NPR's music crew is pretty legit, but I guess that doesn't change the fact that were are old. 20-somethings eye me suspiciously now, like I am the "man" or what ever they call us now. I am streaming it now, I have a lot of the Frank Black solo stuff, so it's all just a continuation...

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
They may be "anti-racist" but that really doesn't mean they are all about brotherly love. I just meant the anti-skinhead groups have a long history of being violent too. That's why I asked if it was sarcasm. It's a gang mentality regardless of what they are preaching.

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
The Observer has a list of names and mugshots on the observation deck (their forum), no one from Boston was arrested. However, some were from out of state, Indiana specifically. The majority seem to be from the Toledo area. One guy is from my hometown, Lake Milton (keepin' it classy) but I didn't recognize the last name. As somebody pointed out this group represented those not organized enough to get away, so who knows where the other people were from. LWPD response is quick. Really quick, so I am in agreement that they were called as the mob moved down Detroit towards the Foundry.

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
The Lakewood police twitter said several were from out of state, and zero Lakewood residents. Seriously, who plans a gang war for 7:00 in the evening while the shows were going on? This wasn't soccer practice we are talking about...

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
I live in Lakewood, so I've been following this pretty closely. When it was first reported, and I heard about where the stabbing was, I called that it probably involved the Phantasy or the Foundry. I had no idea it would be this crazy. I'll be curious how many of the arrested guys are from out of rtown. I was talking to a out of state friend in Baltimore about it, once he read Boston, his reaction was Massholes, say no more. Now I believe it.

Sorry I fixed it in the original post. This should be an interesting one once the police sort it all out.

Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
Apparently the was a mini-riot and stabbing on the East End of Lakewood last night in the streets in front one of the concert clubs for a metal show. It's a really bizarre situation From what I have read on the Observer. Apparently it involves rival groups from Boston and Y-town and people driving in from out of state for the shows.Preliminary reports said that shots were fired. Here's a link run down. A certain editor of the observer weighs in early on being helpful as usual. I try to stay away from the observation deck as a rule usually, but this pieces it together pretty well. http://www.lakewoodobserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=12598

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Can I point out for whatever that Jackhole was doing yesterday. He had his face painted as a cartoon character, complete with triangle eyes. He was not doing a Johnny Depp in the Lone Ranger. He was a grow man with his face painted as a cartoon. Debate the merits of the Wahoo logo as needed. Personally I say keep the name and develop a classy logo along the lines of the Indian Motorcycle logo with the blessing/involvement of major tribes.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Good win, but I didn't get to see the end, I made it to the eighth inning. That 10 o'clock start time was a killer. Thanks MLB. A Cab is still swinging at everything, sigh. He really should hang out with Sanatana more and learn to work a count (Although I remember when Santana used to swing at everything). Random Thoughts. Good pitching but too many players stranded. I think I really like Santana at 3rd. Kipnis looks like he is trying to hard at the plate.

Nick Swisher made that video. Good for him to have a sense of humor about his "bro-ness". Mike Polk kind of sat there. I hope the "drinking red bull so I have energy in my dreams" was a swisher idea. He needs to come up to the plate this year to Panama too.

E Rocc, Meet the is Goldbergs actually is pretty good, the writer basically spent his childhood taping his family with a camcorder. Most of the episodes are fleshed out stories based on actual footage shown at the end of the show. It's still a sitcom but much better than most of the current crap.

I love the Goldbergs and so do my kids. They play fast and loose with the years but that's ok. The nostalgia is nice but it works because of the wacky family dynamics. Born in the USA is 30 years old this year, too. I may just start referencing the age of things in Springsteen songs/albums. I am "darkness on the edge of town" years old.My oldest son is "the Rising" years old.... Edit: I used wiki for the years

Cleveland: Marketing the City
I like it. A lot. We can quibble over some of the details but under the 80/20 rule 80% of the ad is spot on. They even made fun of the Browns. Maybe they will add some of the things that we are talking about when they edit they shorter/alternative segments. Like trains or lake shots, or sunsets at edgewater.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
^KJP has become my source for Browns rumors. Well this certainly a more active free-agency period than last year. One of my boys asked if the Browns will be better this year, and my intial reply was,"The Browns always look like they get better in free agency". Then I paused and thought about it and told him," well except for last year."
