Thanks for saying that Hts. As long as the pass isn't low and infront of those two, let them earn their paychecks and bring it down. Heck, sometimes I think the Jump ball is the only pass little can catch.
  2. Basically the Browns are taking the naming right money stream and putting most of it back into the Stadium now via a low interest loan from the league. They are business men first and didn't let the city off the hook for previous agreements, but they knew better than to hold the city hostage for more money. That sits OK with me, especially what's going on in other cities, cough cough, Atlanta... What is missing that I wanted to see included in the upgrades was troughs for the men's rooms. That was a character builder for any boy attending a Browns game at Municipal. It was a virtual gauntlet just to take a leak. Although it would probably safer now since you wouldn't have cigars and cigarettes being swung around you at eye level.
  3. ^Come on, can't you get your blood pressure up a little bit for this?
  4. Isn't the $12M capital improvements coming out of the pot from the county wide Sin Tax? This isn't great for the city but it looks like they didn't move an inch on what their predecessors contractually obligated them to pay. Now the collar counties that's another story...

Just listened to the press conference on the stadium improvements. Sounds like the Browns are fronting all $120 M and the city will contribute roughly $40m in monies over 15 years that were already in the lease.

Haha, well that too. I was asking because CBS never shows down field and focuses on the pocket the whole time so I have no idea what the receivers look like against the coverage. Even when he's ineffective Campbell shows how absolutely terrible Weeden is, at least his check downs get to the receivers most of the time.

So is the check down offense a receiver problem or a QB confidence problem? I know Cincy has great DBs but that was ridiculous.
  9. ^looks like its a national trend

...but it's a cool song for a 9 yo to play on the piano...funny thing is nobody is playing the keyboard in the video, on a keyboard driven song???

DLR always gets respect, mostly for his ability for doing splits. In a related note, My kids piano teacher is teaching him VH's "Jump", so naturally he has no idea who VH is. So we pulled the video for Jump up on YouTube, it is not anywhere as cool as I remember. It has not aged well...but on the up side my 7 year asked how are they making those sounds and we ended up watching Eddie VH, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson videos.

Nothing wrong with a little bad DLR..... His video for just a gigolo is a classic.

That took me a few seconds to get.... As far as the music goes, I forgot that my parents had a few Oak Ridge Boys and Alabama LPs too. I guess country must have been pretty big in the late 70s. Of course there was stuff that the Eagles and Burrito Bros that wasn't that far removed from country and is more country than half of the crap on commercial country radio today. Then there was Roger Miller. I freaking love Roger Miller...

Ok, just tuned in, how did we give up 70 in the first half???

We've gone from losing last year 120-110 to losing 90-85 this year with basically the same personnel. Does Mike Brown have an offensive play book?

The Cure are all about the eye liner... Note, I am a casual Cure fan. Have Hipsters discovered Too Short yet? That would be pretty ironic. Too Short does do a track on the new Kid Cudi album, which by the way is a beautiful mess. The first half sounds like he's been listening to a lot of early 90's ministry. Sort of a post dance pre grinding industrial synth sound.
  17. My apologies on not making it out. I've been fighting a nasty cold and sinus infection and crashed out after pushing too hard all week.
  18. ^or less sense! I am planning on dropping in for a drink or two, but have to leave by 7:00. AJ are you in?

That's awesome in so many ways.... It amazes me the cultural divide in people that graduated HS in the early 60's to those that graduated post- 1967. I had friends parents that were really only 5 or so years older than mine and it was completely different set of music/attitude.

^I a little bit younger, my first two cassettes were Thriller and Culture Club! Although I did have a 45 of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" was my foray into rock. My mom is a big classic rock person, she used to quiz me. As for the brands, what I took from it is that Everybody needs to clean and fix things. I guessing the Lowes/Home Depot split has more to do with store saturation in particular states.
