Congrats Jeff. I meant to reply earlier .
  2. Anybody see the house on the Southside of Clifton in Lakewood where they knocked down the house and saved the facade? It's a first for me to see that on a residential unit. I'll try to snap a picture.
  3. So the church is basically gutted? Does that make it easier to redevelop if you don't have to worry about the interior? Isn't a blank slate inside? Just replying to one of the commenters on Cle.com, the Lakewood Christ the Scientist church is fully renovated to be a corporate headquarters for about a 50 person company. Unfortunately the previous owner conned someone out in Cali into buying the building as part of a lease-buyback arrangement before they went under and the realtor they hired isn't very proactive according to what I've heard. There are some pics on here somewhere. I would love to see something similar happen to this church. Everybody is bemoaning the $1M to rennovate the church, what is the project cost on a new building that size?
  4. ^ "Shoppes on Clifton"?! Gag me with a spoon. It does look like the current building is definitely having some structural issues. I guess that is what happens when you dig out below the original foundation. What can be done with that church? It's such a beautiful building but so awkward at the same time. I hate to say this but I hope that Stark's people that did Crocker Park can get involved on this....

^^You need to format it to Apple. However if you plan on using it on either Macs or PCs it needs to be formatted to something both can read. FAT32 works but that is slow and limits your file size. Somebody up thread discussed the various options.

Plus you have to either buy or put together an external DVD solution. Have you known anybody with a Henge dock for the MacBooks? (http://www.hengedocks.com/) They look like a pretty nice solution for integration a MacBookPro into a home workstation. I hate having to plug everything into a laptop when working at home. I used to have an old Compaq Evo with a docking station set up at home, that was great.

Well a win is a win, I guess. Most unsatisfying though. Weeden does not look comfortable, even with all day to throw.

I guess I am trying to wrap my head around that even at what ever resolution the screen is, it's still only 15". Great for displaying picture and graphics, but all the menus and buttons in CS5.5 are still tiny, although easier on the eyes. She does mostly layout work, not much actually graphic creation.

My wife still hasn't bought her Mac, but now she is back to getting a Macbook Pro, is there any reason to get the retina display if most of the work she'll be doing is going to be on a larger external monitor (24" or 27")?
  10. If Toledo goes to Mi, I say NEO goes back to Connecticut.

So who wants to start talking draft picks? What DBs are out there?

Boat shoes are back. Why not Jams? I am officially old when I remember a trend the first time. Ray Bans knock offs and Sperry boat shoes? I had both in 1985(?) when I was 8. Personally I am trying to bring back Bass shors Dirty Bucs with the suede tops and crepe soles. No socks. I have a vintage pair from the 90s that I never wore that I found at my parents. My wife hates them of course. Edit: sorry I missed a whole page before typing this.

^AJ you are a trendsetter. And you know it. Pleated khakis will be HUGE again in 8 years... JOHIO, I think you a quasi-hipster...On the venn diagram of the population you are in the space shared by the hipster circle and the general population circle.

http://hipsteripsum.me/?paras=4&type=hipster-centric Ipsums are programs used by graphic designers to generate non-sensical text to fill sample layouts. This one has a hipster vocab. Also checkout the 50 Shades generator http://www.fiftyshadesgenerator.com/
  17. Well the rumor is definitely out there beyond our geeky circle. I was at my brothers Saturday night and we were talking about bars and I said that the Johnny Malloys at 117th closed and they are tearing the building down. Unsolicited one of his friends piped in that he heard there was a Heinen's going there.

Holy sh!t! That was hilarious. And pretty much spot on. And painfully true for myself. I am turning 35 in a few months and it takes effort to discover new music that I like. Not that I ever really discovered music on MTV(edit: how's that for still trying to preserve indie cred way past the point of it mattering? Oy! I am old) The best line was how that complaint is literally old enough to drive a car now. What's sad is some of their earliest non-music programming (non-game show) like Liquid Television was really cool and innovative. Hell even the early Real Worlds had value. The point where it hit the crapper was when they started having those competition shows with the combination of different casts.
  20. Of course the Dems held onto the house in the 80s by Gerrymandering even after the political winds moved right.
  21. I live on the west side of Cleveland and my representative is from Toledo? How does that make any sense? Oh yeah let cram all those libs in Lakewood, and the union autoworkers together in one district.

5 freakin' field goals. Enough said.
  23. Nice quality win for the Bobcats last night.

It was 40 degrees and pouring down rain.
  25. ^ As far as Lakewood goes I hope some quality stores fill in the blocks between Summit and Arthur. Jammy Buggars is quality and Merry Arts just put a really nice patio.
