UrbanOhio Parents & Families
I had a co-worker at my old job that had the all-day kindergarten requirement go into effect the year after he paid the school district to send his twins to all day kindergarten. He was not amused. It was still cheaper than child care though. From my understanding, you could still do half-day kindergarten too. My son had 3 or 4 kids in his class that left at lunch last year. Of course in Lakewood you don't have the busing issues that would complicate that.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
This game was sort of the inverse of their normal game plan of Cold Start- Decent Momentum- Stall/Choke at the end.

AJ, I can't wait until you have a "American Beauty" style mid-life crisis and your wife comes home to a 87 IROC-Z in the garage. Or maybe start wearing skinny jeans too. You know what IROC stands for? Italian (or Irish or Iranian depending on your city) Retard Out Cruising. Edit: Capri? Yuck..After the Mustang body they assigned the name to those 2 seater Austrailian convertibles.

^ what's to respect with a bed full of speakers and a 4 cyl under the hood. The Neons underneath were cool though. I saw more than my share of senior pictures with mini trucks... We had Mustang 5.0 posse around Youngstown in the early 90's. You could find about 20 of them parked in one of the parking lots of RT 224 in Boardman every Friday and Saturday night.

^Sorry forgot Rhodes. I know this team isn't good, but talent wise they should be able to win 3 or 4 games out of the last 16.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Add to the fact that we have 2 (or 3 if we include Holgren) serviceable ex-NFL head coaches on the staff that could take over for the remainder of the year, I can't wait for Haslam to take over the reigns. I keep waiting to see the cameras cut to Childress in the booth either banging his head on the desk in frustration or mouthing the words "This guy is a f'in idiot".

Is anybody still pro-Shurmur? In the last two weeks, I have moved completely into the he must be fired camp.

Governor John Kasich
Anybody else catch Strickland and Kasich on 90.3 this morning talking about Ohio's role in the election? They both said that Ohio basically is a microcosm of the US as a whole. Strickland was first, and tooted his and the POTUS's horn saying that the recovery in Ohio started even before he left office. When the mod got Kasich on the line and later asked Kasich about it he had a very gruff no comment answer. It was very odd and un- politician like. Kasich had some good things to say about diversifying Ohio's economy.

^let me add to that..We haven't gone totally lame despite having 3 kids. We had kids early, it was oops and then we just ran with it. Things have worked out fine. The ones that really didn't do anything too exciting with their lives in their 20's and now are having kids. They are painfully lame.... Not that there is anything wrong with that.....

^^Was I drunk this morning when I wrote that? Jeez. English is my first language, although you would never have guessed it based on that post. In my defense I am an engineer. Whatever that is worth...

^CDM- Your ideal would be nothing but old music videos from the 90s on youtube. David, I kind of like the lame-O posts they make me feel good about myself. I haven't totally gone lame yet. I think peoplr censure themselves a lot more than they used too on FB. Especially once you get out of school. I am in my early 30s, I noticed one thing since right now a lot of our friends are having kids. My friends are unattractive. Boy I have seen a lot of ugly baby pictures in the last few years. My friends are apparently not attractive on the whole.

MAC: General Conference News & Discussion
Squeaker of a win for the Bobcats this weekend. I hooked the laptop up to the TV and streamed the game on ESPN3, which was only mildly annoying. UMass won't remain winless for long in the MAC, they are a very young team with lots of talent and a new coach. I am guessing they will be the MAC East rival for OU for the foreseeable future. Or until their coach jumps ship. He is Brian Kelly's protege after all.

Braylon Little. The upside isn't worth the downside. We've seen this before. Cribbs, damn scary hit. I actually think he is lucky the helmet popped off carrying most of the force with it. Also, he has definitely lost a step on returns.

That's awesome. I hope it's a good game. It's a short week and the Ravens defense is older, so at least we have that going for us. I also hope the Browns stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Game day. My level of apathy for this team is appalling for the 4th game. Usually I can maintain interest until least the bye week. I am sure I'll be watching tonight... My latest tinfoil hat theory is the Rooneys talked Haslam into buying the Browns instead of some other team because they are as sick of this crap as we are....

Pet Peeves!
Sweet... My wife has been working downtown at CSU for 2 weeks and got her window busted out and car worked over. Thank god she had cleaned it out last weekend for a roadtrip. She usually has a ton of stuff in there. That's her luck. I worked downtown Cle for 4 years and then another 6 in DT Akron and never had my car touched. Although I did have a laptop stolen out of my car in the driveway....

Yep. What he said. In the typical twisted Browns fan logic, I actually had the thought that today's loss means a better draft pick next year. Oy! On a positive note, it was refreshing to watch Greg Little watch that ball all the way into his hands before turning up field on the TD catch. It's the little things that give me hope. MoMass sighting today, too.
