MK, I am Ok with it. He ends up at least the 20 yd line, so no loss there and apparently all the way out to the 35 when he is really trying. Penalties also killed us today. 100 yds. ouch

Well, given how that game started. I am almost happy with the final outcome. Almost. Weeden officially bad the worst first game jitters ever! Much better showing by the rookies.

I get what you are saying, but Mike Brown was pretty the polar opposite of Randy Lerner in terms of being an owner. He's cheap, generally doesn't care about the fans opinions so the fans hate him, where as Lerner threw money at the problems and made rash decisions based on fans reaction. Besides we already have the lowest average ticket price in the NFL.

^ My mind is officially blown... I don't know how much I blame I can put on Acta at this point. He may have lost the team but I really don't think it's entirely his fault. I think the front office's geriatric signing and non-action at the trade deadline crushed the player's will to compete. Now they are just punching the clock.

Cue the grounds crew, "they're still shitty!" The sad part is that they weren't playing all that well the first half of the season and still were at .500. I thought they could get hot like the beginning of last year and go on a run. Sigh.
  6. You're obsessed, admit it...

Ok, I too have been a lax UO member lately. I'll try to do better. Question, there is probably a foreclosure thread on here somewhere and this indirectly related but I thought I'd ask here. Why would Freddie Mac being buying a house at auction right now? My neighbors has their house foreclosed on and have finally moved out, without being evicted. Really sad story. Husband goes on disability starts drinking too much, marriage on the rocks, she loses her job, they split up, she finds out she has cancer. I couldn't make up what this poor women and kids have gone through. Anyway, she finally finishes chemo and moves out into an apartment with the kids. I knew the house was in foreclosure, and I knew they weren't evicted so I started researching their case on the county site. Turns out the house was sold at auction in June to Freddie Mac, but the mortage was held by a reputable local bank. Why would they be buying the property? Decent house on a great street, they bought it at about 50k below market value.

My theory is that they just need to win for two years in a row (make the playoffs) and the fans will return. Probably not in the force of the 455 sellouts but in numbers well over 20K during the early months and well over 30k-35k during the nicer months. Think of how many tease teams we have had over the last decade. Good one year, then mediocre the next year or two (I am looking at you Mr. Wedge) If they can build on last year's hot start cut short by injuries and make the playoffs this year, I think the Cleveland fans will buy back into the team. It will take some September ball that means something to get the fan base kickstarted again. The trading of two Cy Young winners needs to be exorcised by the Dolans some how too. I have a feeling it will take a deep playoff run to do that, or years, lots and lots of years. Lots of years. Or Matt LaPorta needs to magically become Babe Ruth reincarnated...

^only explain..... pain isn't really her thing.... On topic. I am reading "Quicksilver" by Neil Stephenson, which is sort of a weird book and I am not sure where it's going. Also started the "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" book that the first season of the TV show was based on.

^My wife is tearing through the 50 Shades books, she was shocked when she first started reading them. Of course I had to explain the the difference between being submission and S&M to her. Sometimes her naivety is rather charming.

New pet peeve, TVs at bars. I am in Rochester on work and I discovered a delightful English Style pub called the Old Toad. It's so refreshing to sit at a bar with just my beer and my thoughts and some background noise. Now if I could just set my phone down , this could be considered mental health time. 4 beers on cask too!

I am painfully indifferent right now. I will just be glad to not have to hear endless speculation on the radio. We need everything basically, how can we go wrong? Plus I don't watch a lot of college ball so I only get to see the highlight reels. That being said I will be watching on Sundays.

I am confused. The architect is always rich and desirable in every romantic comedy that I have sat through.
  20. They are starting renovation work on the Facade of the Drugmart plaza by the library.

Did I see 2 or 3 guys out surfing in the water at Edgewater park this morning around 8? The wind had kicked up some nice whitecap rollers, so I am guessing that was why they were out there. Brassballs, indeed. It was 43 degrees according to my car.
  24. I just saw on the Happy Dog FB feed that they are running a free Gordan Square shuttle tonight. From the map the posted it will run from Battery Park down to Happy Dog and the Parkview with stops at places along the way.
