That's some funny stuff. Doesn't look like the Browns will be moving to LA anytime soon. I heard the league set the transfer fee into LA (which is a NFL controlled region after the LA Raiders and LA Rams debacles) at a half billion dollars.

^that is my favorite explanation of what the hell is wrong with this organization. You can't bring things back from the dead. JFF isn't even cracking the the top ten list of what was wrong today. I actually had an enjoyable afternoon instead of watching the Browns I took my 2 yo to the Youngstown Model Railroad Builders club annual open house with my parents. They did have a couple of Browns boxcars that did torment me as they went past. However my son didn't notice them and loved the display. I did get to listen to the end of the game on the way home though, just to torture myself.
  3. Agreed. To be honest I bought into a lot of the fear mongering regarding this issue. "It undermines democracy etc etc." I do think some caution and skepticism should be applied if you are talking about modifying the democratic process, but seriously, if you read this thing, it's not that bad. And the idea of being able to 'invest' in a ballot-granted monopoly *is* pretty bad. Also note one of the sponsors of this thing has been trying to get it passed since the casinos. It just only got steam when the social conservatives got scared of weed. Ah... That answers my question on why there wasn't just a clean legalization issue to compete with issue 3.
  4. Why wasn't issue 2 a clean up and down amendment in the first place?

Oops, we never thought about that....on a similar note we are looking at renting our house out for the RNC through a well know area realty company and that part is still fuzzy as well.
  6. Wow. Looks like we did dodge a bullet with that. I find it interesting that Keith is only paid naming rights and doesn't have an ownership stake.

One of the articles I read said since he was no longer technically under contract the team wasn't allowed to use his likeness. That being said they sure did make a big deal of it.... This ridiculous. Let him sit.

Whew! I was worried that we weren't going to get our 5 wins

Until it ended it the most Browniest of Browns plays..... After McCown dove for the first down earlier in the drive I told my kid he was a moron and was going to get himself killed. At least JFF showed of his baseball skills and slid. (Sigh) Maybe now that assisted suicide is legal in California the league showed let them move the team to LA and put it out of it's misery...(Too far?)

It is nice that the Browns have to make decisions to cut talent for once instead of trying to pick up bodies off of waivers to round out the roster. I think Big Phil departure guarantees that Pryor will make the Final roster. I was originally shocked that they made the cut, but it probably is a win-win for Phil and the Browns.

Good job by the Cavs. JR is the only loose end out of the rotation players. And They'll re-sign him or an equivalent shooter. I guess the only to do at this point is see how the rest of the league shakes out. Hopefully we find a serviceable PG and fill out the remaining roster with some vets that can contribute in the regular season to keep every ones minutes down.
  12. Today was the first day of the 40 mph speed limit. The Shocker that everyone still went 60 mph. :)

This Delly thing is fun. My brother and I are involved in an epic text string with my cousin, who is an ATL transplant, but has season tickets to the hawks with a bunch of his neighbors. As he calls himself, a die-hard Hawks fan of 14 weeks. I was at the Tribe game Friday so I missed Delly hurting Korver. I finally watched it online this morning. It doesn't look like he was aiming for his knee. Korver looked like he was going to dive for the ball too. Instead he pulled up at the last second instead of diving. It's possible the Delly would have done more damage if he had continue straight instead of rolling to make contact with his back. He was expecting body on body contact and was protecting the ball.

Is Delly's all hustle style of play dangerous to other players? Probably at times. Is he a dirty player? I just don't see it. He just keeps his feet moving until the whistle. When hustle is at the top of your skill set, you've got to use it. Holford pulled Delly. into him, about the only thing that could be construed as dirty would be the second push off after making contact with Caroll, and that looks he was trying stay between the ball and Holford. Much ado about nothing if you ask me.

    Winner...

I was not expecting that at all. I was hoping that the Cavs would pull out another grinder of game and was pleasantly surprised by a beat down.

I am feeling much better tonight. Blatt and the team made some adjustments and the Bulls are really an talented but inconsistent team. I am feeling confident that the Cavs should win this series based on talent. Webber is just horrible commentator overall. I've noticed he says dumb stuff about the other teams too. Absolutely zero insight.

Crap. Double crap. It will be interesting to say the least. Best comment on FTS: Cleveland®

It was interesting that both Kyrie and Isiah Thomas were both shut down in that street fight. The Cavs certainly x and o'd Thomas out by pushing him to the right.

What's the matter with Stroh's or Highlife at their price point? ;)

It wasn't pretty but it was a win. Boston certainly is chippy.

Personally, with games like last night and the last quarter/OT of the San Antonio game, I find myself watching with amazement. I won't be super excited or cheering, just sort of slack jawed and taking in how good this team is right now. I am hoping that they are the team to break the drought.
