Menchie's FroYo coming to Lakewood. I noticed a sign on the storefront next to 5 Guys on Detroit this morning when I was riding my bike to get some coffee. Not exactly related, but the renovations on Rozi's Wine in Lakewood look excellent. They added a sidewalk cafe seating areas in the store front with some sweet garage door style roll up windows for all year use.

Split the series with the Sox good enough, although I am disappointed we should of had at least 3, if not all 4. Bats are hitting again. That's a good sign. Onward to Texas. 3 games back in the AL Central. 9 more games against the motor city kitties and 6 more against the ChiSox. Let's do this. What if?

Nevermind the fact that pitching at coors field is like pitching batting practice. Even if it is an NL team. Good game tonight for the rookies.

Ohio University Number One Party School in America
Yes. If they had to settle for a middle tier state school. I will push for better schools, but I have no problems sending my kids there. Edit: Damn you C-dawg, editing while I am replying. You need to make your own connections at OU. I agree.

^^ When you start every interview by having your resume looked over, followed by the comment "OU? I hear that's a real party school" you learn to take it in stride.

^Nice win last night. I just want to say that it's nice to still be excited about the Indians in August. I find myself scanning past Browns training camp articles to get to the Indians coverage. Go Tribe.

^OU's reputation is well know, I don't think the number 1 position this year will sway any parents minds. My facebook feed has blown up with proud fellow Bobcats. I may have to pour some crappy beer in to my stolen Aquarium and have a drink to celebrate. Edit: I even decided to change my avatar for a few days to celebrate....

Try getting a seat at Deagan's on Taco Tuesday you'll probably end up at MELT (who has a snazzy new sign in LW BTW)....haha. Semi-seriously going back through the comments on the Market Garden it looks like the Pork Tacos are too blame for a lot of the negativity. That what I had and it was blah. There was something else restaurant related that I was going to post but I forgot what it was....Oh well. I'll edit when I remember it.

I have never had a bad experience at Luxe in the 4 or 5 times I have been there, and the pizza was fan-tab-ulous...Although it's been probably over a year since I have been there. My worst experience was washing a Luxe gift certificate in the pocket of my pants that we had won at an event, that was a bummer.

No comment, other than this is a complete downer. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2011/07/shooting_at_luke_easter_park_-.html Shooting kills one, injures three after George Clinton concert at Luke Easter Park in Cleveland Published: Sunday, July 31, 2011, 10:14 AM Updated: Sunday, July 31, 2011, 3:26 PM Plain Dealer staff and wire reports By Plain Dealer staff and wire reports UPDATE: The 16-year-old died this morning. CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Four people -- two boys, a man and a woman -- were shot Saturday night at about 10 p.m. at Luke Easter Park during the eighth annual Unity in the Park festival. All of the wounded are being treated at MetroHealth Medical Center, said police Sgt. Sammy Morris. A spokeswoman at Cleveland's Emergency Medical Services reported that two of the people shot are in critical condition. Two others were stable. Authorities said they were searching for a male suspect who pulled out a handgun and fired into a group of people during the fight. No arrests were reported in the hours after the shooting, Morris told the Associated Press. "It was a large fight. Somebody in the crowd produced a handgun and fired several times," Morris said, adding all four victims were hit by gunfire.

MTS, Electric service is usually handled by the tenant even in old buildings, so the landlord would of had no idea. I was out of town so I haven't had a chance to read up on this yet, besides what was in this thread. Also, this may be an OU thing, but I knew several people that had grow lights and the such while I was in college. OSU isn't exactly squeaky clean so I can't imagine you are so shocked by this.

Best part of the new CBA? Phil Taylor is going to have to play like gangbusters for 3 years to get his big payday! From what I have seen he looks a physically huge fast freak like Shaun Rogers.

They did have the playbook, I do know that. The Browns were fined for getting it out before the strike. I think one big thing the camp colts helped with was the terminology, the guys with Westcoast experience could help the other guys get up to speed. That's a few days of confusion at training camp once it opens, if they went in there cold. Honestly I have no idea what this team will do.

Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio
That sounds like a good time to me! Hanging out in that atmosphere for me is a welcome change of pace from my current residence in Chicago's Gold Coast (yuppie central), so I enjoy a trip to Geneva-on-the-Lake from time-to-time when I'm back in Ohio visiting family and friends. I guess it makes me "white trash" to say that? LOL I was joking about the biker babes BTW, however we are going with my wife's roller derby friends so it's close. Thanks Rustbelter, I understand the "yuck" reaction that some people have for the strip, but it is what it is and it definitely has it's place. The strip is basically an unorganized amusement park midway with cottages intermixed. I actually haven't been to the strip in probably 6 or 7 years, when my best friend's family took a nostalgia vacation and rented a cottage like they did when he was a kid. Vacation weeks at Geneva-on-the-Lake were very popular with Youngstown area people. However that seemed to have died off with my grandparents generation. I had family friends that lived on 534 between the town of Geneva and GOTL, so I spent a lot of time up there as a teenager, especially when my friend was dating the younger sister for a summer. Lots of time in the pool halls and arcades. If "the strip" isn't scenic enough, drive 5 miles south to South River vineyards. It's pretty awesome scenery especially on your bike. Wines are decent to good too. http://www.southrivervineyard.com/Home.php

Speaking of former player, my dad's seats are right behind first base and I always marvel about 2 things when I watch Sandy coach. How in shape he still is, he seriously looks in better shape than most of the players and how tall he is; how did he catch all those years with those long legs. Marson and Santana look like munchkins standing next to him. Maybe he can play OF tonight.
