Admit Your Cultural Blasphemy!
Aw yes, Sliver and Basic Instinct both came out when I was in Jr High or early High School, they were a hot commodity to have a copy of...second only to Skin-a-max late night offerings. Kids today have it way too easy with the internet.. MTS, can I send my wife over to your place at night, so that I can have my big TV. You seem to watch exactly the same "stuff" that she does...

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I missed tonights game but he was filthy on Monday night too. 14 pitches, 2 k's to close out the game tonight. Thats TCB baby, Takin' Care of Business.Which is much more preferable to the load the bases and still get the save C Perez. That's just nerve racking. Nice guy too.

NBA: General News & Discussion
Hopefully a Cavs title will feel nothing like this....it just feels good, shallow but good to have the superfriends lose, nothing like winning though....

"LeBron James left Ohio. So does everyone else."
I am not going to bother to read this....Windy is a good sports/beat writer that won the lottery by covering LeBron from the start. He has no business writing an op-ed piece like that in WaPo...

NBA: General News & Discussion
I am not counting my chicks before they are hatched....2 games to go... I haven't watched any of this series because I couldn't stand watching the Heat win, but I do follow the score on my phone. Also remember that the Heat weren't expected to get to the finals this year, and neither were the 2007 Cavs and they never made it back....Bahahahah!

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
http://www.danpatrick.com/2011/06/08/maurice-clarett-talks-about-culture-problem-at-ohio-state/ Wow, Clarett is the voice of truth in all of this. He has no reason to say anything but the truth at this point and lays it all out on the table. He puts it on the players and the fans, but mostly on the players for taking advantage of the situation. There is a component of the blame that he puts on the NCAA rules and the lack of perspective that a lot of the poor kids have on what it takes to be successful. He defends Tressel, too.

Cleveland: Wind Turbine Construction News
Just noticed somebody else erecting a smaller wind turbine, just north of Rockside Rd on the East side of the road. It's probably only a 25 -35 kW unit.

The Nintendo Wii U
Sherman, not really sure what is going on with the Nintendo hating? So what? Companies push technologies to the market before they are ready all of the time. I applaud Nintendo for the wii, where as at the time Sony and MS were involved in a bigger faster war, they decided to try to do something different with game play. Which has led to the Kinnect and such... Nintendo's biggest flop, the NES Robot...R.O.B.

Cleveland: Edgewater Park
Thanks for posting that Scott, unfortunately I will be out of town that weekend. Baltimore's Inner Harbor is often brought up as a successful waterfront revitalization when the Cleveland Lakefront development is discussed. They have the same problem with all of the trash being dumped into the harbor via the storm sewers. They have gone as far as to put nets across the small tributaries and to use trash barges such as the one below, and floating booms to collect the floating trash. Basically its a barge with a conveyor that collects anything floating. Not that it could be used at Edgewater specifically but I just thought I would bring it up as a way other cities are combating the problem.

Cleveland: Edgewater Park
Fixed it KJP. Sorry I was at lunch and using the forum through Tap A Talk, which I am still getting used to. Does anybody here know the terms of the agreement between the State and the city? Is the city still responsible for Capital budget dollars? Or does that all fall on the state?

Cleveland: Edgewater Park
Fixed that for you. Just Kidding. Sort of...

Cleveland: Edgewater Park
As for people not being in the water on memorial day weekend. I believe the lake was below 60 degrees. The state seems to not maintain it as well as their other parks, the agreement between the city and the state has to play into it.

Warrior Dash 2011 - Ohio
^Did it get crazy later in the afternoon? We left around 2:00. I was the good husband, and finished something like 6280 out of 9800.

Warrior Dash 2011 - Ohio
Oh I saw those guys. Were you in a dress too? Did you see the hulk? We were in the gray Burning River Girls Shirts. One of our friends probably would have won the women's outright but her chip didn't work. She's a mad trail runner and does those crazy 50 mile runs.

^(Insert MyTwoSense rant about how Chipolte isn't spicy, and how much he loves spicy food so much that one he asked someone to use their keychain safety pepper spray on his meal just to kick it up a notch)

^WRT? Come to thing of it, now that you mention it. I usually never get the burritos there, usually a salad or a bowl, I guess I have a subconscious dislike for them too.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
My mom and dad took my wife and I, and my three boys to the season ticket holder appreciation event at the zoo last night. They kept the zoo open for season ticket holders for a few hours after it closed and brought the players and coaches in to sign autographs. It was a very nice event, and even though they said they were capping the lines at 200 most of the players signed way more than that and then just stopped when the time was up. We managed to get autographs from Choo, Shelly Duncan, Acta, Pronk, C. Perez and a few other random coaches and players. Grady was the only one with a ridiculously long line. Choo was there with his wife and two kids, I think I may have found the root of his slump,, his wife is pregnant again and he will have 3 kids under the age of 5 here shortly. I know what that did to me.... :drunk:
