Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
The walkway, as proposed, seems to be a "let's give the cheapest/easiest way a s shot by poposing it, and see what we are dealing with..." kind of approach. I hope they aren't maried to it.

Boom. Smash and grab at the Apple Store in Crocker Park. $30k stolen in 30 seconds. http://www.tuaw.com/2011/05/10/another-smash-and-grab-at-the-crocker-park-apple-store-in-westla/ Another smash and grab at the Crocker Park Apple Store in Westlake, OH by David Winograd (RSS feed) on May 10th 2011 at 5:00PM On Friday morning, a smash-and-grab robbery of yet another Apple Store took place at the Crocker Park Apple Store in Westlake, Ohio, an upscale suburb of Cleveland. Around 4:30 AM, three burglars smashed in the front window activating the burglar alarm as well as the store's security cameras, which caught it all on tape. The well-organized thieves were in and out in thirty seconds after stealing twenty-four notebooks and one iPod touch. The culprits, wearing all black, left no apparent trail, and so far, the Westlake police have no disclosed leads....

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
LW is pretty fickle, the places either take off or die a slow year long death...Deagan's finally seem to have stuck in the old Barnacle Bill's space, after 2 or 3 others couldn't make it there. I know Cleats actually were evicted out of that space. The notice was taped to the door. As far as Nikko's I think that part of the problem, despite their efforts was it was not really considered "new" when they reopened.

Wait? You got a droid? I thought that you were sticking with a flip-phone for as long as possible? I might be imagining things though....

^That's good to know. He still owned the building so his overhead couldn't of been too bad, I figure he reopened Nikko's after Route 6 closed just to make a little money on the property. I am glad to hear that somebody wants the space for the long term. It's a nice space since the renovations and actually has a good amount of parking behind it for Lakewood. Burgers are a tough business in LW though, lots of very good competition, they better be fan-fucking-tastic for them to make it.

^ Even if it isn't temporary space, as I beleive they have indicated, they plan on keeping both open (if phase 2 gets built) it's a lot for a secondary space. You would assume the long term plan would direct everything towards the Huron locataion, as it should be the focal point of the complex. Besides, shouldn't you valet at the front door?

At home I use my ipod to check the forum, it was ok. The Tap-A-Talk app works pretty good but it took some time to get used to how it works, specifically quoting and replying to a post.

^ I updated my post. Looks like it was the film in the Crain's article above.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
^Looks like I had confirmation on that film in crain's. I had a letter this week on Paramount letterhead stuck in my front door in Lakewood that they were going to be shooting a film and were targeting neighborhood that had a John Hughes/ Sixteen candles/ Father of the Bride look for exterior shots. They were also looking for homes to be used for interior shots, and if interested to call them at such and such a number. I forget the name of the film though, hopefully the wife didn't throw out the letter. "Big Fun" is the name that is stuck in my head. I'll update the post when I can confirm the name.

I pulled up the streetview of the Higbee building (no luck embedding, it ends up fuzzy) but it appears that if you are careful you could easily attach the walkway through opening for the large windows on the second story above the doors on that SE corner with out harming the facade very much. It just looks very awkward to me, crossing that large intersection on the diagonal.

What the Hell? Can I also ask, How close does the current Tunnel/Walkway run by this location? I am trying to find it on a map with no luck. And wouldn't that make more sense in the long term to tap into that especially since it will run between the two parts of the Casino? Edit: I found a map of the walkway. Looks like it will be part of phase two of the Casino if it's built.

Has anybody gotten any shots from the Science Center/CBS area, the northend is completely open and you can see into the whole site? I am sure that a zoom lens will catch much more than I can driving by at 60 mph on the shoreway.

Longest home winning streak ever. That's unbelievable. I love the businessmen special games, I would go tomorrow if I didn't have to go to Pittsburgh. Looks like I will be taking the kids on Sunday instead. Go Tribe.

I didn't see his farewell post, but I saw his tagline for for his profile is something like, "Sometimes a brotha just needs a break from UO". Most of the time that I am on here I am in the office and I will take the UO reality anyday over the asinine conversations that circulate around here. Earbuds in, ipod on or a podcast on,blocking reality.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Fans are starting to ramp up though. I've noticed a lot more tribe gear being worn since last weekend. I think the Santana walk-off last Friday caught the attention of a lot of people. I we will really be able to tell how attendance is going to shakeout for the year by numbers that show up for the mid-may homestand against the Reds and the BoSox, I think those two series will be a good barometer. I wish that I could have watched last nights game. The 12th inning sounded like a thing of beauty. I've bought in already but I still can't believe how "well" or correctly they are playing. Or how frustrating "Wedge" ball was for all those years. And almost all of the players are tied up for the next 2-3 years. That's the really really happy thought....

I am glad that the last week never happened....
Seriously who is that guy? Impeccable timing though, he knows when to randomly show up. But Goldschlager? What is it 1995? :)

Lubrizol had a 14%! profit margin last year, no wonder Buffet was all over them. Berkshire_Hathaway is the only Top 10 Company to have a double digit profit margin besides Chevron.
