  1. CleveClinic, if it was for "profit" would have slotted somewhere between Keycorp and TravelCenters with Revenues of $5,885 M. I am sure the other large regional "not for proft" healthcare system would have impressive numbers too.
  2. ...because it means that I didn't wake up Sunday sick as a dog, vomiting my guts out with crazy feverish chills. And it means that I didn't waste two days of my life in bed and that I would feel completely fine now instead of just a little bit sick. Also I wouldn't have had to explain to my wife how the midget wearing nothing but chaps with a bottle of Goldschlager ended up in our bedroom closet when she came home early from work on Friday night.... She missed a good time. ;D
  3. I'd murder someone if my wedding on Saturday didn't happen. MURDER. I'm just now un-exhausted. I don't have time to devote to that all over again, lol. Hmmm I have been married almost 8 years, I am not exactly sure how I would feel if somebody told me my wedding just didn't happen. I'd have to think about it... I jest Mrs. CBC! Congrats Doc, BTW. What are the weaknesses of SMF btw?
  4. Anything but option 3. I am tempted to vote for SMF becauce I can't handle another outage.... This kinds of feels like the exact opposite of what waking up from a coma must feel like. I know that a week just happened, but it's gone now. Weird.

^^LOL. Usually the answer is one of our fine bedroom community patrol officers have decide to work on their ticket quota during rush hour in a construction zone. Oh, and Columbus drivers freak the f' out in the snow. That was annoying when I lived down there.

Congrats to Peyton. So were the Cleveland fans voting for Vick all along in the other Bracket? If so, I missed that memo but genius if they were. Next up Sky-enga! on the cover of NBA 2K13.

Attendance will get better in May, a lot of the season ticket holder pools weren't even required by the Indians to buy the April games this year (at least ours, Opening day and that was it for April)

Indians 9- Royals 4 The home streak stands. The Tribe is for real and is going to be a good team this year. Yeah, we all collectivelly held our breath during that 3 game skid, as Cleveland fans we are conditioned to wait for the bottom to fall out on anything good.
  9. Me likes. That could be signature worthy.

There is a Gov. William J. Lepetomane joke in here somewhere with all the talk of the govenor and the railroads.Except the towns want the trains to run through them in our case. "I didn't get a Huh-rumph outta that guy...."

The first couple of episode's are slow, it gets going about midway through the first season. The first couple of episodes really play up the lack of PC and casuall sexism and racism. It comes off kind of clunky.
  12. I know that the elephants are back but is the main Elephant exhibit open yet? Has anybody been in the new building yet?

^He beat Aaron Rodgers last round, who just won the superbowl and is the messiah king of the Packer nation, so that's saying something. If he doesn't beat Vick, I will have lost my remaining shred of faith in humanity.

^ I am just the IT support in our house. What she does with it is her problem. The driver support for scanners just stinks. The only thing that I did have to dump when I made the jump to 64-bit was my cheapy Espon scanner, so it wasn't a huge loss. The more painful thing to lose was my Laserjet 1100 B&W printer that had acted up at my mother-in-laws office years ago, so she gave it to me. My new MoBo didn't have an LPT1 port...

On a random note, I am looking forward to a Mac to see if itunes will actually work. Because the windows versions are buggy as hell, especially on the 64-bit OSes. I would never use it if it wasn't required for my ipod touch... ^ I am running CS5 on a Athlon X2 dual core (512k cache per core)64-bit with 5 Gig of DDR2 RAM, w Windows 7 64. Actually CS5 runs fine unless she is doing a huge project like a 500 pic photocollage or the proof for a 30 page booklet. That's when the lack of HP with the processor shows up and things get laggy. I have been impressed with the way CS5 manages memory and the swap files, It really doesn't eat up that much RAM, given the size of the pieces that are being manipulated.

^haha. I am trying to get back in the loop. The last time I was up on the computer lingo was when it was a question of Pentium 4 vs AMD Athalon XP, and RAM-BUS vs DDR-RAM, oh and the G$ Macs were still running Power PC chips and SD-100 ram. I did some research at lunch and actually found quite a few threads comparing the two Macs I am considering, and the 27" imac quad core i7 definately is a better value (for me). It has basically the same specs as the single xeon quad core MacPro that is in our price range. The processors are basically idenitical, minus Intel branding and the imac has faster memory because it's not EEC (1333 Mhz vs 1066). Plus I won't have to buy a monitor and the imac accepts HDMI in so I can use it as a TV too if I get another tuner from Uverse. I don't care ifI am giving up expandability, I don't have anytime to play with a computer anyway. EDIT: She'll probably insist that she need a MP... just doing the research now. I'll fight that battle when I get there.

^ oooh those old celerons were crap... my sister had a cheap dell lappy with one. It was soooo slow doing anything. We'll probably just end up getting the iMac, which is fine by me, because I can claim ignorance when something goes wrong, unlike windows. I am a few years out of the loop on hardware but those MacPros have some pretty heavy duty power. But seeing how well the CS5 stuff runs on my current machine given the hardware, the iMac should be more than enough.
  18. ^^If anybody can get things done in this town its a Billionaire sports owners.

^It's not a malware issues. Normally it's fine when you are surfing the web or doing anything normal, Actually it works quite good with Windows 7. The set up was dirt cheap, and when I bought it she wasn't doing any graphics work. It maxes out the processors when she's got huge InDesign/Illustrator files open or if I am converting video.

^thanks. Sorry my current computer isn't a mac it is an old hp that is running win7 on late xp hardware. It's only ddr2 memory and pretty small caches on the processors. The processor to memory bus is the bottle neck. The processor maxs out all of the time. Oh and she had everything in the world open at all times. At least 500 mb of memory supporting all of the firefox tabs that are open..,.
  21. ^ I always thought it was Noo Joi-zee...(edit:Surf beat me too it. He's lived there so I will take his phoenetic pronuciation spelling over mine) but seriously, it seems like a very feasible plan, or at least a feasible straw man to build off of. What are the implications of building on the fill that makes up the piers? Does it get really expensive at a certain point or are you basically going to have to drill down to bedrock for any building of a modest size? I am not picturing anything bigger than 6-10 stories down there.
  22. Thanks for the math! Anyhow, you don't want waterfront buildings to be too tall. Especially here with the N-S orientation, you could risk shading out the waterfront. Some form of height restriction may be a blessing in disguise. Just for reference CBS is quoted as being 171 ft tall accordin the the Browns website. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/stadium/about-the-stadium.html
  23. Well you can rent some construction equipment and pull a Mayor Daley, haha. (Edit: oops misread your post, sorry if that doesn't make sense) I didn't look that closely at the renderings but the buildings didn't seem to any taller than CBS. Would those buildings on the NE corner be more in the flight path than CBS? Is that the issue.
  24. That's horrible. Dramatic, but horrible.
  25. According to the article the Port wants to reserve that land for a future Ferry landing or other maritime activity. When I was in HS, Youngstown State used to have a passing flag football league in June for the local HS teams. It would be cool if they do build that youth field for the Browns to sponsor something like that.
