  1. Thanks for the pictures. My aunt and uncle lived in Cumberland for five years or so in the late 80's. I don't think I was ever in the downtown. All I remember is that "everything" is on the side of mountain. Cumberland was also home to Kelly-Springfield tire, which was why they lived there on assignment from Goodyear.

I have never been impressed with him when he is on 92.3. Despite whatever part(s) of the article are true, the whole thing feels like a smear campaign. Edit: I am only defending the Browns organization from the attack, not their incompetence.

I was there, it was awesome. It was apparent he was going to put up 40 or so, from the start. No way would I believe he'd hit 55. Fun fact: LOVE had 10 PTs in the first 5 minutes.... And finished with 10 PTs. Nothing was falling except the shots he was defending.
  4. The link has been updating. Apparently they were business partners. The suspected shooter was found dead in a hotel room in Westlake of an apparent suicide. No explanation what they were doing on a residential street in Lakewood.

I can't believe how well they are playing. The new players help a lot, but the effort is a joy after that crap the last few weeks. I had all but given up on them based on their effort starting with the loss to 76ers. I am so glad to be wrong.

    Ugh. Dumb. Just Dumb.
  7. Good one, surf...

Wow is my reaction too. I know the Women's Club Pavillion at lake wood park is about $50 an hour to rent and that seats over a 100 people with a full kitchen. One of the things I found having kids is that if they have some place to go ( parks or neighbors, etc) you'll need less space than if they are isolated.

This is great conversation. One of areas that popped into my mind was Pierces Park on the pier at Baltimores inner harbor. It's a great play area with out looking like a play set. We stumbled across it last year. I am not sure about the smaller spots discussed up stream, but the lawn at the science center would be perfect for this. My kids had a blast there. Check out the link. I'll try to post pictures once I get on my laptop. http://inhabitat.com/pierces-park-combines-art-play-and-stormwater-management-into-a-stunning-urban-oasis-in-baltimore/

As much as I ripped on him in the loss to Philly, Love appears to be sucking it up and playing through a lot of pain. He looked miserable last night Edit: what does Love weigh btw? He get flopped around in the paint way too much.

Why does this team go cold in the 4th?
  12. CBC replied to a post in a topic in Sports Talk
Yeah, his game seems to be predicated most on being big and in the way to draw the foul to pad the numbers. I don't get D in the NBA. You're are professional athletes, why not try on both ends of the court? They have cut down on the wide open looks from earlier in the season but it looks like a lack of effort right now, being a half a step behind...

FFFFF***************CCCCCCCKKKKKKK....god that was painful. Can we get Wiggins and Bennent back? Love is soooo soft. It's one thing to be eclipsed by Kyrie and LeBron but when you are supposedly the best player on the floor. I.Want. To. See.More....
  14. It might be. I forgot about that. We used to go up to the Manhattan Deli for lunch before they moved. The Burger King has been vacant for 2 or 3 years now. I think the NTB is still there. The whole thing is pretty vacant. When I go there to pick up stuff at Office Max during the day there are about 6 cars in a sea of empty parking. How old is that? Early 90s?
  15. ^^yes crowded walkways in Malls or Wal Mart are much more pleasant. Sorry, I Couldn't resist the opportunity to snark. Speaking of area retail, what ever that shopping center on the corner of Bishop and Chardon Rds in Willoughby Hills is called lost the Bakers square last week. I think the whole complex including the outer plazas is down to Office Max, a giant eagle, eddies bike shop and a shady appliance/ mattress place.
  16. ^^ all I can figure out on that pass is Urban wanted to metaphorically step on Sabans throat. Not a good football call.
  17. My biggest beef withe SEC the last couple of years is with a ranking system, if a conference starts 6 or 7 team in the top 15, at some point it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy because every conference win or loss comes against a ranked opponent. Either justifying a loss or lauding a win. Of course UM and Penn States implosion haven't helped the B1G at all.
  18. I am not a huge Buckeye fan but I was cheering for them. The SEC narrative driven by ESPN is tiresome., so yesterday was awesome. Good win, if OSU played clean in the first this could have been a blow out. Bama's punter was something else. He kept Bama in the game by giving OSU horrible field position. He deserved the MVP if they did manage to win. I think the distance he was punting was part of the problem for the return team. The return guys felt uncomfortable being back 40 yds off the line instead of 25 yds. I can see how that messes with your head. Edit: I had sports center on this morning and in case if you are wondering "the gap between the SEC and other conferences narrowed a little bit" yesterday. Vomit...
  19. The clinic has a contract with the city until 2020 I believe and has to maintain some sort of medical facility there until then. When they chose fairview over lakewood for the updates you knew the end was near.

    Hoyer is hurt too.
  21. I would tend to agree. The extra eyes on us for LeBron and JFF probably helped nationally to see what's going on here.
  22. CBC replied to ColDayMan's post in a topic in Sports Talk
Sooo.. Hoyer gave us the best chance to win last week against Indy after all. The only good thing to come out of this is the Wm. H Mathers boatload of humble pie that Chuck Booms deserves to eat.

Bahahaha...So true. Time will tell. There is always crappy music people just remember the good stuff, and unfortunately if the good stuff today doesn't line up with your personal taste, you won't appreciate it.

I went down in my basement to workout at halftime and was shocked to see Kyrie playing when I turned the game back on. About the only thing I can think of besides the knee brace is that contact was entirely in the air and his foot wasn't planted.
  25. CBC replied to a post in a topic in Sports Talk
Crap. Kyrie just hyperextended his knee off of westbrook's knee. At the best it's a mild sprain.
