You and Donovan McNabb... My boss has had a draft job posting for his position sitting on his desk for the last two days. I am sure he has left it out intentionally. Its driving me crazy waiting to hear what's happening. Unfortunately it's 2 or 3 level up so I have no chance.

Agreed Jam. Wright had a great big bullseye painted on him after those first couple of games, especially the Baltimore game. The fact that Brees, Brady or Sanchez didn't throw on him all day says to me that the 1.Rob Ryan fixed what ever was causing that in his scheme and 2. Wright has picked it up. The Holmes TD had 3 players who could have made the tackle, so I am not pinning that exclusively on Wright. He was really flaky those bad games and I wonder if he had some personal stuff going on then, that has since been resolved. Now I am not saying not to upgrade him if possible but I wouldn't dump him just for the sake of dumping him. Actually we should keep him if we do upgrade because of our lack of depth back there. BTW who is loving this Tom Heckert draft class?

The "Apple Macintosh" Discussion Thread
My wife loved hers until she got it stolen at work (stupid restaurant people, they left her crappy texting motorola phone)....Although her functionality mostly consisted of facebook, Scrabble and "Words w/Friends". I do believe that she did use a checkbook app on it. I have played with the ipad and it is just too big to easily slip in and out of your purse/pocke. It would rock to have one at home.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I remember that one, I thought there was another one. The flag came from behind and then he threw it away, next thing I knew we were punting with no explanation on the flag. I may not have been paying attention. Oh well. Just imagine when we get an impact reciever... Still it feels good to watch this team. We were out to dinner last night and saw Peyton Hillis (not eating dinner btw he had just walked in) , my wife got a picture with him. He's a monster physically but very polite. He called her ma'am. Which I found very funny.

What happened on the 3rd down play where they threw a flag as Colt rolled of the pocket and he threw it away assuming the play was a do over. They never said anything about on TV. I saw the flag and it landed right in front of McCoy as he rolled out, so I am assuming he saw it too.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I haven't been there, but I've heard some good things. Please report back with your opinion. Thumbs up. We had a party of 4 and did the Chefs 4 course dinner, so we got to try most of the menu. It's well worth it for $30 a head. The menu is seasonal so I am not sure what is a staple on the menu and what was seasonal. I'll have to pull up the menu later to see what I had because right now all that I can remember is the large entrees and desert. The braised lamb was to die for. It was falling off the bone and had the perfect amount of "lamb" flavor. It tasted like lamb, without crossing over into gamey. The flank steak was excellent too. The smoked pork chop was pretty good but the outer portion was overwhelmingly smokey for my taste however the meat closer to the bone hit a really nice balance. And the chicken was OK but nothing special. 3 of the 4 deserts were top notch, too. All of the salads, apps and small plates were good to great too. On the downside the wine is grossly overpriced (according to my friend who runs his own restaurant) and most of the drinks were "meh" except the margarita. Beer is reasonable and the selection is good. Oh and Peyton Hillis showed up and my wife got her picture taken with him. He called her "maam'. haha

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Well put KJP. Nothing has changed my opinion of the "new" Browns from the last 2 or 3 games. The Browns weren't exposed as frauds by the Jets They lost a hard fought battle and were playing to win until the end, no shame in that. Colt connects with Watson on that last drive first down we would be saying it was genius call. The Browns showed heart and played as a team against one of the best in the NFL for the 3rd week in a row and were "this" close to winning it despite injuries taking out 2 (or 3) of their best players and a huge talent deficet in skill positions (WR and CBs). No where to go but up. Bring your popcorn its going to be an exciting ride. My opinion of Mark Sanchez changed though, I used to think he was a bit of an overhyped pansy but he played a gutsy game yesterday. He played hurt and he played to win. His overall completion rate isn't that great but he makes the plays when needed, especially those 20 yd pass after scrambling that killed us all day.

My brother-in-law is a UT med school pathologist and now is one of the Coroners in Phoenix. However he did his residency in Miami-Dade and the stories he had and some of the pictures he showed us blew my mind. Crime is really no joke down. there. Lopsided are you going to look for a coroner job or are you more into disease pathology?

^ Agreed HTS. the final nail is probably a bad analogy. His mind was 99.9% made up at the beginning of the season that if Miami swung the cap space he was going there. It was the final swing of the hammer to double check all of those nails were driven in.

Yes, that is what it meant. See the link I put in my edit. Apparently it was a huge deal and they touted it for a while.

Peak Oil
I think that speculation in the commodity markets and the weakness of the dollar are highly linked, so I think that you're slightly off-mark by saying that commodity speculation isn't driving the recent spike. It's helping to drive the recent spike because the dollar is weak. (It was certainly a reason I invested in oil holdings in 2008 and am glad that I kept them through now.) People shift into commodities when they perceive weakness or impending weakness in fiat paper currencies because commodities are things with so-called "intrinsic" value that cannot be diluted by government action. Gold is the obvious one, but oil is a popular one, too. Rare earths, another commodity (though it's really a set of commodities, of course) have seen an even larger spike. I'd be curious as to the price trends in agricultural commodities; I don't know if wheat, corn, soybeans, etc. are spiking upward, too. Acknowledged that everything is linked. I just talking about the effects on prices caused by market speculation on future supply and demand, in addition the actual "real-time" effect of supply and demand on the cost of oil/gas. My main point is the main cause for the spike is not because markets are predicting something like tigher emmision regulations that will force refineries to shut down and tighten supply, or that the economy is going to boom in the 1st quarter of 2011 and demand will outpace supply.
