I could go for a shot of that, but not much more.... Served in pint glasses, basically they were Long Islands with things added to give it that grape kool-aid flavor. So they did have soda added to keep them from being too syrupy. But they are really sweet. You can get one at the Westside Melting Pot under the name Smackintyre. The owner was a bartender at the Pigskin when they invented it. Or at least when he is there.

The Pigskin at OU in Athens has a drink called the Black Widow that is a spot on match for Dimetapp.

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame News & Discussion
^Agreed. http://rockhall.com/inductees/induction-process/ Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria include the influence and significance of the artists%u2019 contributions to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll. The Foundation%u2019s nominating committee, composed of rock and roll historians, selects nominees each year in the Performer category. Ballots are then sent to an international voting body of more than 500 rock experts. Those performers who receive the highest number of votes - and more than 50 percent of the vote - are inducted. The Foundation generally inducts five to seven performers each year. Whatever that means...It would be interesting to see how the HOF inductees show up in the Pandora algorithm. They should be the center of huge hubs in my thinking...

How much are you drinking to get a hangover? :) Dayquil always makes me feel like I awake but I am not actually there... I was strictly a coffee guy for studying but do remember taking the old school Hydroxycut with ephedrine. I never could take for a long period of time because I felt I was going to crawl out of my skin. Especially if I got out of schedule or missed a night of sleep.

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame News & Discussion
One of the best album covers ever! definately should be in the RNRHOF. AJ let me guess which RUSH camp you fall into? Hmmm. Yeah but your point about musical ability gets at the criteria for selection? Is it ability? Influence? Sales and charts? I don't get it. A long career definately helps. But Bon Jovi? What did they bring to the table besides some really bitchin' frosted hair and pretty faces?

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame News & Discussion
Well god willing the snooty rock critics that kept KISS out, will have their way with Bon Jovi too. I think RUSH's problem is that you either love them or you think they are horribly over rated. There really isn't much of a middle ground. I don't get the criteria either... And what about RATT? "Round and round" is the best Van Halen song ever made :)

Cuyahoga County: Corruption Probe
And the drama continues. I couldn't make this stuff up. Not that is really a big deal in anyway however the timing on it is just perfect. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/09/jimmy_dimora_collides_with_tim.html Jimmy Dimora drives SUV into Tim Hagan's car in county building parking lot Published: Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 11:30 AM Updated: Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 12:38 PM Mark Puente, The Plain Dealer The Plain Dealer Share Tweet 12 Comments CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora said his car slipped on the wet pavement outside the county Administration Building this morning and his car crashed into Commissioner Tim Hagan's car...

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Just a observation on last night's Packers-Bears MNF football game as it relates to the Browns . Much like the Browns first 3 games the Packers lost that game on mental mistakes and penalties (19!). The packers were definately the better team talent-wise and playmaking wise but those penalty yards are a huge hole to climb out of. This Browns team is definately way better than last years at this point unfortunately with their schedule and talent level they need to play nearly perfect to win.

Don't worry it was Jimmy Dimora's petty cash fund for takeout food. he is not going to be needing that anymore....

^I was just going to say the same thing. I think that there can be infrastructure tweaks to improve it for things such as ingenuity fest that won"t break the bank, but a full conversion would be too much... "Bridgefest" obviously... Edit: I think there are major drainage issues at either end caused by the way they filled it in that would need to be addressed as a major safety issue.

Interesting comment from Cleveland.com pasted below. I have always wondered what we should do with that space....Of course the stations at either end remind of the hotel where the vampires live that fell into ravine in "Lost Boys" californie September 27, 2010 at 10:56AM Follow That long, narrow space under the bridge full of people strolling, stopping at interesting places, watching performances and having fun, reminded me of two other urban spaces that I have been to - the Navy Pier in Chicago and the South Bank of the Thames in London. Could we use this space year-round? Could it be converted into an indoor street lined with small shops and restaurants (all locally owned - no chains), performance spaces, spaces for people selling arts and crafts, space for temporary exhibits, perhaps even studio apartments? We desperately need something liker this in downtown Cleveland and it's too cold and windy for this to occur outside year round here. It could be great. Why use it only once a year?

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Wow are the CPD stretched thin. I was in a traffic accident on W14th and Starkweather at 4:50, both cars badly damaged, the other guys not drivable and it took 2 1/2 hours for a squad car to get there and take the report. We actually had an off duty detective stop on his way home and call dispatch directly to get somebody out. I guess it was crazy tonight with 2 incidents of shots fired in the district and a high speed chase.

Pet Peeves!
I know, I know, but can we agree that at least 50% of the people taking the elevator for 1 floor either are lazy or didn't even consider taking the stairs

The stairs are open in our office building too. I know that most of the floors in Key tower were locked.

Just giving you a hardtime, :) That is especially true in the NFL where the talent level is so close. All that matters is who get the W and who gets the L.

Doc, that's good for the glutes too~ My pet peeve is people who use the elevator for a floor or two. Use the stairs people!
