Cleveland Browns Discussion
I just expected a little chatter. A win is a win is a win.... If I had the time to watch the tape, I would love to figure out what the hell is going with the O-line run blocking. Is it really just Mack's absence or is the tape out on destroying the Brown's zone blocking.

Impressive win, eh?

That was 8.0 on the Brain Fart Richter scale. Com'on man it bounced off your face mask. Your face mask! On the 2 yd line. I know you want to be the hero but let that ball pass. I don't think JFF would have helped or throwing him into that would have helped him. He would have ran around and got punished by the Jags D-line men. What was with the pace with 4 minutes to go?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I'll agree to disagree. He was throwing as he was hit and the ball released at past his helmet. The ball went that far because of the throwing motion not the impact, the hooked arm did cause it not to roll off his fingers cleanly though. Check out at 1:21. I surprised that wasn't overturned. If that was a no call on an opposing quarterback would you have screamed that it was a fumble? Although the coaching staff may need to remind the Browns to PLAY TO THE WHISTLE, EVERY PLAY. They were standing there with their thumbs in their ear holes. http://sports.yahoo.com/video/cleveland-browns-quarterback-brian-hoyer-190800272.html Whatever, In the big picture, I am just splitting hairs from watching that with my Browns fan glasses on. The bigger issues are (still) run defense and what to do with the O-line with Mack out. Mc-whatshisname was not serviceable as a guard. It was like having O'neil Cousins back up there. Get Greco back to guard and let's plug McDonald in at center. I am assuming that he'll be an upgrade since center is his natural position. Also our sub average receiving corp finally fell back to earth, so that's still a hole that needs addressing. It was interesting to see Pettine double down trying to get a momentum shift, past coaches would have played it safe the whole game. Thankfully I worked from home this morning and spared myself from listening to Booms verbally jerk off over JFF.

All other issues aside. Can somebody explain to me how Hoyerd throw that went 10 plus yards was a fumble?

Sorry, you're right the doctor's wife was "highly likely to be" not random, but soon to be an episode of Law and Order though...

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Sounds random to me. Although he might of did something stupid like tried to play the hero to actually get stabbed. It's not acceptable but it does sound random. I made the mistake of reading the comments. Somebody kept trying to bring up the doctors wife murdered outside of her lawyers office on Sunday afternoon. At least there were people telling him to shut up that wasn't random violence.

NFL: General News & Discussion
I found myself rooting for the Cowboys against Seattle last night? What the heck? Watching Romo screw up is one of my great joys in life. It must be this fever bug that I am trying to shake.

Let's put that in perspective, half of the current team wasn't born then... That was a pretty awesome no drama win.

That's a pretty good explanation Sixth City. The only other point I would add regarding the manufacturing jobs is that Automation has cost more jobs than Off-shoring.

KJP, do you know why some of the medians have a dip section towards the middle in the curb they poured?

I had the opposite experience from Hts. My boys game was at 4:00 so I got to watch/listen to the first half and got out of the car at halftime. I am assistant coach so were across the field from the parents when there was a mini eruption of surprise and excitement when the Browns won. I don't really have a feel for how good they really are, but it's better than it's been since 2007.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Just read this article where LeBron has supposedly already mastered Blatts offense and was working on installing it with other players after practice when the coaches walked out of their meetings. it's probably Nice bit of fluff out of the Cavs front office but I do get the feeling that both LeBron and Blatt are on the same page and expect the rest of the team to be on the same page ASAP. They could come out of the gate in sync for the most part. This is definitely different than Miami. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/writer/ken-berger/24732773/blatt-takes-needed-and-successful-first-steps-with-lebron-cavaliers

Hipsters
The utility bills have nothing to do with gentrification, that's just the nature of the beast right now everywhere in NEO. Our sewer district has a huge pricetag to update and maintain a huge system with a smaller rate base. And electricity is creeping up. Natural gas is down though. Unfortunately Ohio does not have an "widows" law capping annual property tax increases when a neighborhood sees a huge upswing in housing prices, but they do lag a few years. So he'll probably be able to realize some of the gains in property value before the taxes get to high.If it goes that far. And Joey welcome to the board BTW, I've enjoyed your contributions so far.

Get a first down on that last series and you have a 90% chance of winning. Don't get a first down and you have a 50/50 at best

Ohio: GDP List & News
I would have thought the gross percentage change from 2001 to 2013 for Cleveland and Columbus would have been farther apart, instead of 39% and 53%. I can't really complain that we have 3 strong Mid Size cities in Ohio each growing at a similar pace.

Well good of you to include Crocker Park. What's Columbus when you include Easton? :) Good news for everybody!
