  1. They all hate Charolette though on UrbanNC.com (perhaps I should reign this in a little)
  2. Take that research triangle in North Carolina!
  3. Steve Jobs has spoken, the Red Square is where the new Apple Store at Summit mall is going to open. NEO is officially Westside Cleveland, Eastside Cleveland and Akron... Everbody else needs to use the internet or drive an hour to get all their ipod, ipad, macbook goodness...
  4. Re: Cleveland/Akron Divide? Answer: It's called The Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Next question.
  5. I'll chime in seeing that I live in Lakewood, work in DT Akron and grew up halfway between Ytown and Akron with parents from Youngstown. I tend to agree to with those that are saying the Akron-Cleveland divide really is just a little more pronounced than the East-West Cleveland divide. I think Canton overlaps with Akron but not Cleveland due to the hour drive. I think there is a lot of professional overlap between Cleveland and Akron, a ton of people who live in one city are willing to take jobs in the other but drive and don't move. Culture institutions differ (swensons, shopping malls, HS Sports, etc) but like I said before I don't think it is much more pronounced than the east-west Cleveland divide.

You need to move to the westside my friend. I take my kids down to the resturant at the Marina in the Metro parks. 3 kiddie cones and a 16 oz Dortmunder for me. $7.50 out the door.

Even Tony Grossi is starting to come around, or at least he stopped whining . Nobody expects this team to play for the AFC title but at least they are going to be competative this year. Still waiting for Hardesty to play.

I thought BQ may have had some potential, but for where he was at the time we traded him we got a good deal.

Sounds like a typical week. So MTS is shopping at Dillards now? I got too much sun and drank too much at the beach. Now I am back in my cell plowing through a weeks worth of e-mail and itching because I am peeling..

So I am back from vacation. What did I miss?

So we traded BQ for Hillis? That was a pretty sweet trade. He would kill himself the way he runs if he was the featured back carrying most of the work load but give him around 5-10 touches a game and watch him go! So my only question is who put the car wax on the ball in the first quarter?

Pake! The pie baked in the cake. Genius....
  15. Thank you Drew Carey.... Seriously C17 according to the 2010 budget the WSM operates in the black. And I am assuming that any capital improvement are funded with Muni Bonds which are sold to investors. So their is minium burden on the poor tax payers. I imagine the wonky hours help keep the budget under control, less wear and tear and less staff. From Page 10 of Budget. More Detail on Page 311. Charges for Services covers their operating costs. Gotribe, I've been there and I feel for you. (we'll have 2 out of 3 in school this year)What's your wife's background? We've always done the server/bartender second job for my wife (1st being at home). Ms. CBC had a history of graphic design work and she has lately started pursuing and actually picked up a few freelance jobs, one being through her old boss (from 8 years ago! thank you Facebook) that look like they can be fairly regular work. Hopefully she can cut back or eliminate her hours serving. Edit: On the other hand have you considered starting a knock off designer purse business? 4 little sets of hands can probably do some tight little stiches... ;D

I think it's what you make of it. I just make my wife melt cheese (She works at the Melting Pot) which actually is really good cash when you consider the actual hours worked.

Miller Highlife bottles here. Although I do splurge occasionlly for something good like Michelobe (hahhahaha, sorry bad joke) I think the reason I have that opinion of Heinen's catering to the elderly is the (RR and occasionly Middleberg Hts) stores that I frequent the most often ,are in two cities with a high concentration of senior citizens. Hell when I am 70 what I would I do? Push my cart across the Giant Eagle parking lot and lug my bags into my trunk or have somebody do it for me at Heinen's? hmmmm. With three boys it's more like the smell of dirty laundry and the stale urine smell that was in the bathroom. I am sure the spilled beer smell is going to be in my future...

So Heinen's main business model is to cater to the Golden Buckeye crowd? Is that what we have determined? Raising kids is like dorm living. My kids are drinking the Beast...I totally understand what you mean though. It's too bad we drink so much milk.
  23. CBC replied to CincyImages's post in a topic in Urbanbar
I usually buy Hartzler's at Annemarie's, and it comes out to $3.99 per half-gallon after the bottle deposit; it's the same price as the organic milk you buy in the carton. Can you return the bottles to Heinen's as well? Wait, so you spend $8 for a gallon of milk? That is unbelievable. We typically go through about 4 gallons a week. That would cost us $32 a week for milk. Holy Smokes Man! We ussually get our milk for about $2.29 a gallon. Either Smiths or Dairymans. It's back down to 2 for $4 at UDF again. I would say we go through 3 gallons a week in my house, but my kids really don't eat much cereal. I'll tell you what if we were paying $8 a gallon there would be hell to pay everytime a kid left a half full glass on the kitchen table that gets dumped down the sink, instead of the little tinge of disgust that I feel and let pass.

I love going in the Heinen's in Rocky River. (WARNING Playful Stereotyping Ahead) I can be the poorest, youngest most ethnic person in a store for once. Seriously it's like the set of a "Cocoon" remake in there... @ doc : i usually end up carrying all my bags out because I don't like the cart service too.

Watercooled? Jeez, and the whole neighborhood knew when you were heating up a cup of coffee because all of the lights dimmed in a 10 block radius. Geeky factoid: Microwave ovens actually use long wave lentgh macrowaves to cook food. Micowave just sounded cooler.
